My guess is that Pettersson wants to see if the Canucks can make it to playoffs, and how far they'll go this Spring. I think those factors maybe influencing his decision whether or not to extend his contract.
He's not reluctant to sign. It's his agent and that's a tactic to get more money.
Kuzmenko hasn't lived up to his 5m contract this year.. like at all. the 3rd line is making him look pretty bad rn. We need two 2nd line forwards right now. If he was cheaper we could bear it a bit better, but at that price, you just expect more.
Kuz trade for some pics or considerations, free up the cap space and just give it all to Pettersson lol
Being open to any trade talks is where every team should be. That doesnt mean you do it, but you always want to entertain different options as they come up. Constantly changing a team is bad for chemistry so you obviously dont want to do that.
