I actually don't care anymore. We'll see if the Sabres fire Granato, but Pegulas have already lost my trust. Undeniably this should have happened weeeeeeeeks ago – but nothing. Maybe, just maybe they hire someone else and the prospects live up to their potential. Until then, just not a fan.

The Sabres’ chances were not high danger chances (minus a couple). The better team DID win today because the Lightning capitalized on the few chances they had. That was the difference. I don’t care about hits, “grit”, or how many shots they had. The Sabres made that goalie look good, and they do that to a lot of goalies.
The high danger, fast flying Sabres are a thing of the past, and if you disagree, look at last year. This is the same team called the “cardiac kids.” Well they flatlined and it’ll be another year without playoffs.

Why do they suck in the first? It's because their coach is an non-motivational beta male. That's why. I get it, I thought he had potential too. Granato is wise and a nice guy. Just not gonna cut it however, for this team.
since he (Cozens) was beaten up he's gunshy.
How do you fix it?
2 giveaways and a BS slashing penalty to Benson cost the Sabres this game . Any other coach wouldve been livid after this call and wouldve complained about the call to the press after the game. Did the emotionless Granato complain?? No of course not! Please get rid of him and the D coach, Marty Wilford and hire Gallant or Berube as head coach and DJ Smith as D coach asap.
I was at the game. Why the hell they suck in the first is mind boggling. I was ready to hang myself when Tuch gave up that puck for the short hander. This team is so unfocused. They rarely go to the net. The penalty on Benson was complete crap. Adams refuses to make any moves and apparently that's ok. Greenway may play about two good shifts a game. Why Oloffson is still on this team is unbelievable to me. I give up. It's pathetic. Tampa was flat. We just can't freaking score.
Today we weren't hungry enough to keep possession and chase down loose pucks, we lacked tenacity and that intense compete. The silver lining- we kept Kucherov & their super stars pointless for 60min, Cozens finally gets a clean nice goal (will it help his confidence?), UPL 2 goals on 15 shots isn't anything to write home about but 2 goals in 60min, I'll take it any day of the week.
Not good enough…. make trades. Even if you could get good returns I'd trade Tage.
Our 6 on 5 sucks so bad. We lack zero structure every single time we pull our goalie. Can't even remember the last time we tied it up when we had an extra skater.
Packers game was a lot more entertaining than the Sabres. The Sabres have no soul, this group will not make the playoffs. We may have to blow this up again. When was the last time the Sabres had a comeback in the 3rd period. Effort without results don’t cut it. We average goalies look elite.
Apathy is beginning to set in. I'm on the verge of tuning out until we move on from Granato and his crackerjack staff. The Oilers are my "second" team and it's so much more fun watching them. GO NINERS!
UPL played another superior game. All fault was on solo player mistakes. Lucky we didnt go down 3-0 with Jokiharu's signature move..the give away. Tage was terrible that game. We miss Skinner cause he was the only one having good games when his teammates had bad ones.
1 game away from .500 and they come out looking like slugs. The season is over.

Our PP sucks as well as our offense. Tage is becoming a log floating downstream. Lackluster starts have cost us 10-12 games this year. HCDG has to go !!!!!
The message sent is very redundant. The staff's message is falling on deaf ears. They need a different voice and system.

Was at this game. They had no urgency all game. Sloppy passing like always and some terrible calls by the refs killed any momentum. I'm so over granato

The 'slashing' call was a joke. Both giveaways that resulted in goals – The Sabres seem way too casual / nonchalant.
Cozens, now that he's loaded, seems to have caught a case of O'reilly-itis and is playing as if he wants to be traded.
Absolutely no sustained net front presence by the Sabre's. Pass, after pass, after pass, after pass…WTF? Why Tage is not living in front of the net on the PP is mind boggling. Granato has lost them
Tell me again why Olofsson was on the ice? And on the 4th line? Whose idea was that? If you're trying to shop him, you've got to do better than that.
The whole Sabers's mantra as they tread water seems to be, "don't make any waves". Nobody gets fired, nobody gets traded, nobody is accountable. Remember, the team is Kim Pegula's baby, all soft and cuddly, and IMO, nothing will get done while she's in recovery, and beyond…
Guys I don't think a coaching change will matter at this point. Maybe a couple games will be better but this team is flawed to the point where it doesn't matter who's behind the bench at this point.
This team needs at least 3 competent dmen, a new bottom 6, a legit backup for whoever the starter is. UPL or Levi. More size and grit.
Also lurking is what happens if UPL proves he's finally ready to be the king term #1? You think Levi is going to willingly accept that it's not him? Especially after only signing with the fact he'd be right up with the sabres.
Sabres are masters of proving the definition of insanity. They keep doing the same things, i.e. icing same old players that some of them skate like snails and expecting different results. Even our younger fast skaters lost speed and quickness because they need to cover for Okposo and other old players. Meatballs is out of answers for months now, and yet this org. is clueless too. They are gassed, and still almost half a season left, but they are done. Until they hire no BS HC, and get rid of deadwood, they ain't going anywere, they just waste season after season, while teams that are actualy playoff close are firing their coach who isn't as good as expected. Buffalo syndrome, getting atached to coaches and players like it is a family enterprise, instead a proffesional sport org.
Get used to it with this coaching staff. Going to be a long wasted season again.
Who the hell tells them to toe drag at the blueline during PP? Even senior home has more action going on than the sabres PP.

As long as management does not prioritize head coaching as a path toward post season runs..quality players..which Buffalo has reliably stocked their team with ..will be traded and it not be the signed and Buffalo fans left either way less to cheer for.

I would like to point out that play when Peterka out muscled 2-3 Tampa guys behind the net and made a great pass to Cozens for the goal, then for some reason the coach decided to play guys who can’t score at all on PP and down a goal late! Benson might be a scorer someday when he gains some muscle but for now continue to develop the real high end prospects like Quinn and JJ. Benson should have had to prove himself in the AHL first before he was given a free spot on top line.
One thing Adams has overlooked is we here in Buffalo are blue collar workers. Kevyn and Don and the players for that matter are not. They are all white collar millionaires. That being said Kevyn should learn or understand that we as fans will never really get excited for prima donna type players that hang their heads and feel sorry for themselves coming back to the bench. Granato's philosophy of throwing players back on the ice after making a mistake has to stop. There is nothing wrong with accountability and benching players who don't perform. Have some pride some backbone some FU in their game instead of playing like your at the CEO ball dancing around. Play like you mean it. Play with heart. Play like your hands are rough and not soft. Roll up your sleeves and don't wait for the next player to do something instead do something yourself.
The problem here is the Owner. He doesnt want to spend money on good management and coaching. Adams is a joke, it took a week to send Devon to Rochester to get his reps, basic moves. Coaching is pathetic. I know the whole spiel about modern players not playing for hardasses, Tocchet & Tortarella have turned the teams they coach around. Matt Ellis running the PP is hilarious since he never played on the PP as a player. The Pegulas gutted the scouting dept, hired an inexperienced GM & Head Coach. TERRY SELL THE FRICKIN TEAM your ownership tenure has been a disaster
Terrible when that shorthanded goal was the game winning goal and the difference in the game… And yeah I am going to be very upset if the Isles turn their season around with a coach I was hoping Buffalo would have gone out and gotten…
Adams brought back too much dead weight and it's continued to sink this team. The boys looked ready to fly after the final streatch last season, but Adams had to run it back resigning players who never helped this team win anything besides the draft lottery.
Continued 2 goal deficits in the first, im sorry but that's coaching, terrible power play, thats coaching. You think ant Torts coached team is going down 2 goals in yhe first more than once or twice a year? Players aren't ready to play at puck drop!!
Think about what the team and the fans would be like if we had acquired the Foligno brothers this summer, should have traded olofson and let okie and or girgs leave. Add in Gudas and remove joker and Bryson, and we would have had a chance to develop our youngsters in the right way, and make the playoffs

This team was playing like a top 5 team near the end of last season just missing the playoffs by a point and they have completely regressed playing like a bottom 5 team it is absolutely mind boggling how this happened someone should've already gotten fired

I feel like cozens is in the sophomore slump he didnt have in his sophomore year or it is him getting his a$$ whooped in that fight at the beginning of the season really knocked the swagger out of his game. Thompson is back to falling all over the place and getting knocked of stride like his first few seasons , the last few he was zipping around strong on the puck but this year its weird. Tuch seems like he's giving up , he didnt even try to chase the turn over he gave on pp just stood and watched. So i agree , i like what Granato has done for this team but he has maxed out and they need to put someone in that will push these kids to do more , be more aggressive and get over themselves.
