  1. The thing is Sammy went to Vegas AFTER he got married… the place is a whole other level of experience when you're not bringing the wife.

  2. As long as what Perry did wasn't a CRIMINAL matter… if he wants to keep it private I don't care or want to delve into his personal life. Good to know he's getting help.
These guys want to pry until Perry looks like some evil villan it seems.

  3. you guys are NOT paying attention. Kyper says no one pays more attention than us. WRONG. Leafs held VAN to single digit shots in every period. Leafs completely dominated outside of the first 12 mins of the 1st period. Refs handed VAN the the game with 2 of the softest calls.

  4. 3 guys crying about not getting Perry. They are all worried about what he did now, if he had signed with the Leafs, all would be forgiven. Homers times 10!

  5. Elliotte Friedman who has the best sources in the entire hockey world said at least 3 teams were in the Perry sweepstakes, Toronto, Tampa and Edmonton. Holding your breath guys and pouting just because you did not get him, is not a good look.

  6. We don't know what this guy did but if it was so reprehensible let the law judge him.

If it's not a matter of law his punishment will be living with what he did and the reputation that precedes him because of it.

  7. You have to ask yourself, do you care what Jim Montgomery did in Dallas to lose his job? Then, less than a year later signs with the blues and now head coach of the Bruins. You don’t have too many more details than Perry’s and we had to deal with that (as a Stars fan).

  8. Perry spoke to McDavid prior to signing so maybe he knows what happened? Corey can still appeal the termination because even though he may have done something wrong and is getting treatment maybe Chicago acted fast firing him because of their checkered past when Joel Quenneville was coaching Chicago. A lot of unknowns, but private not overly serious to not give Perry a second chance?

  9. As an oilers fan and a person who deals with addiction. Unfortunately, addiction is always apart of your life. You need to work on it every single day. No matter how long you are sober. It’s hard but it becomes your identity. Have some grace. It’s hard. It’s awesome to see him working towards his goal. And no, none of our business when it comes to his mental health. Wish him the best.

  10. These guys aren’t owed an explanation from the Oilers and Corey Perry. Corey Perry doesn’t owe me an explanation.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Ken Holland and the Oiler management did extensive research and background work in trying to acquire Corey Perry. Let’s just try and have a little sympathy and show some respect to Corey Perry and hope he plays well for the Oilers.

  11. I wish more ppl knew about this podcast it truly is amazing! Oh yeah Bourney…I ordered your book can’t wait for it to arrive!

  12. Perry won't be a huge difference maker, but he DOES bring experience at how to win – two Olympic Gold medals with team Canada, Stanley Cup, IIHF Gold medal. Even if all he does is contribute motivation – the Oilers have proven they can win with or without the guy. Its just an added confidence boost at a low cost – they didn't have to trade for him.

  13. I feel like maybe I’m one of the first Leaf fans to understand that the Leafs – having finally beat Tampa last season – have now become the NEW Tampa Bay Lightning.

We’re just gonna slide in to the playoffs. Then a different story begins.

  14. Love how they clip the video showing a 30 min discussion about Perry and like any typical self-centered leaf analysts, they instead waste no time to switching subjects and talking about themselves (leafs)without giving a shred of an insight in looking at the bigger picture of the league – spend literally 1 min on the topic before switching it to Reeves 😂😂. Could have been interesting elaborating on Perry's fit or ANY potential future fit in Toronto to bolster a sad bottom 6 forward team, but ok… switch gears entirely 👏🏽👏🏽.

Don't forget guys… Your talking about Toronto being a mid league team and whether or not they're sellers or buyers but forgetting that not long ago you along with everyone were talking "run it back". Just because those insane contracts that are wrapped up in a handful of players are signed and sealed shouldn't change the outlook that it's now or never… Nothing like resting on your laurels before the ink is even dry 🙄

  15. To add to the Nick Robertson convo:
If you look at his goals/60min, he is at 1.5 -which puts him only behind Matthew’s and nylander.
At 10min of ice time a game, with a 3rd line role, one has to wonder what his ceiling really is.
I could see him scoring 30+ under the right conditions in a top 6 role with another team.
Leafs need to leverage this stat to market him in a trade

  16. You guys don’t have time lines so I can’t skip to anything. Starting this show off with out talking about Edmonton was a bad call. I know you guys are pro leaf’s but still had to exit couldn’t wait

  17. I wonder how much Bourne would think Perry would help if he were a Leaf??? Sounds a bit like jealous deflection.

  18. The Leafs have no fight to them. They dance around, but when things get rough the girls run and hide.
Every year the playoffs come it shows up. All the other teams know the Leafs are very very soft and know they can push them around.

  19. Kyper you are 100 percent right… I don’t think Tavares is a “captain” but you can’t let another team try to punch your captain without a response from the team. It’s a terrible look and the team doesn’t have the DNA to play tough hockey. I like pieces of this team HATE the lack of heart.

  20. There was once a man who was known to be a drunk and a horse-thief… Stopped drinking… Would you lend him your horse?

  21. Eastern sports media: This is the greatest player ever! Toronto is clearly the destination because Toronto! Oh, he went somewhere else? Meh. Probably won't move the needle.
