I am not a Canadiens fan. I am not a Roy fan. There is no team, no city and no fan base who honor their team’s legends the way they do for Les Habitants’ legends. It’s nothing special or unique. It’s their anthem, some photos and then that famous Montreal roar that while we may not have heard as much these last 30 years, we know is always lying in wait to help in this case to honor Patrick Roy, a living legend and the last Cup winning goalie of their team. Just a magical and special moment for this team and this game.
