Remember when LA fans ragged on our city? Made fun of us? Said PLD just didn’t want to play in a « barren frozen isolated wasteland? Coming to LA would turn him into the superstar he was always intended to be. One team could be considered a coincidence but this is the 3rd team he is having issues on. (4th if you count junior) Looks good on LA.
The Dubois deal isn’t looking great but deciding to rely on Talbot, Copley, and Rittich in goal for a team that wants to contend is a far worse choice.

If you consider Laine was the original asset, the Jets are doing pretty well.
Cap hit Dubois $8.5m. Cap hit Laine $8.7m.
The Jets have 3 contributing roster players combined cap hit $8.43m.
And getting Roslovic off the roster has inherent value too.

2. I said it then, I’ll say it now. When Kopitar was drafted I had him as « one to watch » 1337 games 1181 points, playoff wins, big part of 2 cup wins, team scoring leader 15 of 16 years, big strong, does it all player….and yet? rarely talked about in National media…
Getting vibes of the days when Buffalo, under Lindy Ruff would make players every team wanted and then did nothing after Buffalo traded them.

With all the shit he is taking… has me worried he will become a 100 point player next year and we won’t hear the end of it….
