As a Rangers fan, I love these hits. Gallagher used his elbow, but hockey players have inches of padding on their elbow, and a 5 minute penalty would have been enough. I hope Gally does it again to Cindy Crosby. Plays like this brings back old school hockey, and NHL players must toughen up, or go skate in the womens league.

Gallagher is not known to be dirty, on the contrary he is the one getting all the dirty hits and stands up for himself by smiling and keeping his head in the game. This guy MUST have done or said something worth punishing for Gally to hit him like that. I wonder what Pelech did or said to anger Gally who has a ton of experience like that

Torres standard: 41 games suspension.
This is a malicious and deliberate shot to the head that was intended to injure (Gallagher has played hockey long enough…he knows this). If Gallagher had knocked Pelech unconscious with blood all over the ice and he had to be carted off by paramedics the "chatter" would be suggesting a suspension of 20+ games. This head shot could have done that. Why are ALL head shots of this type not a minimum 20 games??? CTE is real. NHL…end this!! I have been a Montreal fan since Jean Beliveau played.
