Wayne Train baby.

Wayne Train! An endearing Flyers legacy and universally loved by this fan base. Would be special if there was a way to bring him back in some sort of role. Regardless I look forward to him dropping the gloves in a future alumni game. 🥲

Have a good one buddy! You’ve earned it. 🙂
One of my favorite pieces of flyers memorabilia is an autographed photo of a Giroux and Simmonds celly
GOAT instigator and fighter. Loved watching prime Wayne train

Dude was a heart and soul type of player for this organization and we will always love him for that.

I saw him play his first game in the NHL with the Kings. My first thought was ‘Man I want him in a Flyers jersey ‘. As soon as we signed him I bought the 3rd jersey that year. Wish he could have won a cup, great team player and great career nonetheless. Best of luck to the Train!

I remember watching a game against the canes (it was one of my first live games) and he kept lining up next to the same guy on the face offs. And I noticed that he kept trying to tangle his skate with the other guys, over and over again. Always a great shit stir, and a genuinely great player.

One of my favorite Flyers of recent memory. Everyone loved Wayne.
All those « Flyera fans racist » stupid fucks in the national media had no answer for our love of Wayne Train.

I went the [flyers lighting game Feb 2019](https://youtu.be/lWh9v1tXnQs?si=xeAsEjU8spfs81E0) just knew he was wasn’t gona be here after the deadline. This was gona be his last home game. My dad wanted to start for the car but I kept waiting in the tunnel cause I didn’t want it to be over….then he got a game misconduct in the last minute and went off early anyway
Then I went to stadium series game later that week and sat above the flyers tunnel and saw him toss his gloves and stick up to the fans. Even tho the game ending great. I was still pretty sad cause I knew was his last game. Also the [“who wants it”](https://youtu.be/3A4N-M9FIgU?si=V26sCjOh6CErpHq-) moment was a clean hit

Per Wayne directly, saying he did not announce retirement:
Flyer for life!!! Get him to the alumni game in whatever capacity even if he doesn’t play it would be great having him attend!

I never say stuff like this, it makes me cringe.
Thanks Wayne, you gave us some great memories. I will never see someone with that combo of ass kicking and goal scoring again. A top 10 Flyer if the criteria were “born to be a flyer”

One of my favorite Flyers of all time, never afraid to scrap at a moments notice. Enjoy retirement Wayne train.

Just reading what he played with in 2017-18, his last full one with the Flyers, still amazes me:
>The bad luck all started in training camp, when the 29-year-old tore his his pelvis. That injury lead to more, as he suffered a pulled groin and fractured ankle. He also tore a ligament in his thumb which required multiple pins to be put in his hand after surgery. Oh and he also underwent four-hour dental surgery to fix a bunch of his teeth that were knocked out over the course of the season.
Through all of this, he only managed to miss seven games from his hand injury, while some how still potting 24 goals and 22 assists in 75 games.
