  1. Big effort tonight!

EDIT: In the third period, but overall from Stuuuuuuu

    SECOND EDIT: GAGS 🤯

  2. Had you told me after the first quarter of the season that we would go on a 14 game win streak…..

    Unreal.

    Just unreal.

  3. What an ugly game but skinny kept us in it!! If we lost I was going to blame Gene for all those bad luck omens he was showing off!! 😤!!14 in a row!! Let’s go for 15!!!

  4. 22 turnover after 40 mins. Skinner keeps them in the game.

Brown might not score this season. Doesn't seem like he has the scoring touch this season.

  5. Notice we now no longer rely solely on 29 and 97 to carry the load all the time? OR THE POWERPLAY!? We be gettin scary folks!

  6. Another sloppy game but they still managed to pull it off. Good job Skinner but it sucks a bad bounce led to that goal against.

  7. Listen to the game while in a dentist chair. Stew kept the team in it. The team rewarded that in the third by waking up. Thanks for the update.

  8. Technically, they won 5-1. That offside goal doesn't count by the rules, but, it was a goal, as the offside was an inch, and inconsequential.

They can't keep coming out and being invisible for a period or two though. Chicago is going to be a test, they've been spunky without Bedard. These guys better not take them lightly.

  9. They cannot continue playing this way.
The bottom dweller from the Metropolitan outworked them for two periods.
Have they been playing a real contender, the “streak” would have been over.

  10. Apart from their early tally, if it had not been for Stu Skinner's absolutely phenomenal/heroic performances (especially in the first and second periods and the fact that the Oilers ended up giving away the puck 26 to 13 throughout the game), the Blue Jackets could have been ahead by up to 5 goals entering the 3rd period. Mind you, special credit should also be given to the Oilers bottom 6 forwards who made meaningful contributions in this almost unbelievable 14 game winning streak as the Oilers continue their race to winning the Stanley Cup.

  11. Can tell the Oilers took the CBJ way to lightly and almost paid the price in the first period but Skinner saved the day! Second period they woke up and stated to play way better and the third period they got to work buried 3 goals! LFG 14 in a row!!!

  12. 14 STRAIGHT UNREAL! SKINNER WHAT A LEG SAVE! Sloppy as hell through 40 like you said Patrick and was nervous as hell they were gonna blow it against crappy CBJ! Congrats to Skins for beating GF franchise record of 10 wins with 11 unreal! What a night to buy the Sam Gagner jersey! The fact he had it with CBJ and gets the second 14 game win streak on the team that drafted him during his 3rd stint with the team and beating CBJ to get the 14th win is just ridiculous!! you cant make this stuff up lol UNREAL! GO OIL 4 more to break the record dammit lets do this!!! 🙂

  13. team tends to be very tired in 1st & 2nd period. possibly a sign they ant to go to the movies? bouchard level of interest & focus is slipping a bit. gagner's only issue is limited ice time _ hard to score in 7 mins…… bt let's run the table. exciting!!

  14. Hey Oilers, WE DID IT AGAIN, 14th!!!
A crazy game which I couldn't watch live again. Another standing up early with no profit! Now I saw the highlights and I have to say that Skinner saved us the streak! Great job from our goalie. Rest of the team looked tired and bored. Simple mistakes on every lineup, offense and defense. If I had the chance to see it live my TV was definitely broken after the second period😮! This was absolutely nothing. Then 3 goals in the last period let it look good, but it wasn't. Skinner saved the game alone with the best work ever done. Go on Oilers, let's do the no.15, boys!!! Cheers from spring feeling Germany by 14°C and rain. Marc

Oilers win 4-1 in Edmonton to continue their streak to 14 in a row with Stuart Skinner standing on his head (while juggling elephants with his feet) during the first 40 minutes when the rest of the team was loopy. Foegele scored (and got an assist on the Kane goal) and his goal was a PP goal (2nd unit). Kane scored (and got an assist on the PP goal) with Foegele and Nuge assisting. Holloway scored and, GASP, Connor Brown got the PRIMARY assist and a point with Brett Kulak getting the secondary assist. Another guy, named Connor McDavid assisted by Draisaitl and Ceci scored too. Of all of the goals the D factored into 3 of them with assists. Think about that. Oilers were 1/2 on the PP and the PK was at 100% AGAIN. The big glaring ones here are Giveaways (Edmonton had 26 total and 22 by the end of the 2nd period, they had kept giveaways to under 22 in a whole GAME before) compared to CBJ's 13 total giveaways. CBJ has 12 takeways compared to Edmonton's 9. The rest was mostly a wash, slightly more for one team vs the other but nothing glaring (other than the Oilers took 10 penalty minutes and CBJ took 6 (so there were 1 set of coincindentals). In this game Stuart Skinner now has 11 consecutive wins for a goalie passing Grant Fuhr (GRANT HALL OF FAME FUHR from the 80's Dynasty FGS) for most consecutive wins by an Oilers Goalie. Columbus could have had 5 goals in the first 2 periods if it wasn't for Skinner. The Boys Win. Next up: Chicago. Take care all.

  16. Glad they won…..but I don't want a repeat of last season were they played a lot of "one period games" like tonight.

  17. What is the save percentage for the first 13 games AND what is the save percentage for the last 25 games? Number 1 reason for turnaround is goaltending. Not the only reason.
