If Kuz went to a different team and could continue where he left off last season a 40 goal scorer for his price is a damn steal for a roster player. I wish he was his old self because that would really put us over the top. I think he ate some bad fish in Bali or something.

You’re not wrong, Pam…
Though on the other hand a one season removed 39 goal scorer and a 1st round pick is at least a lil better than the joke trade.

Except most rational people want to keep Kuzmenko

I honestly think teams would be smart to take Kuzy and a 1st. At worst you get a short term cap dump and a 1st rounder. At best you get a 20-30 goal scorer and a 1st round pick. I never found Raymond, Ballard, and a 1st to be a legit trade. Lol. But I am glad how meme worthy it was.

Kuzmenko and a 1st is a great return for a rental player

Problem is Kuzmenko is at all time low. Raymond at the time was at least still a middle 6 player who forechecked. Ballard fell out of AV’s roster, so he was all time low too.

Kuzmenko is a first line talent who has struggled to adapt to a more structured system. On a lot of teams he would easily put up good numbers (60-70+ pts). As long as he’s willing to keep working on his game with Tocchet I think it would be a mistake to trade him.
