@Oilers d'Edmonton

. 1. This is the first time in a long while that the oilers have had good defense and goaltending that are winning them games. Its such a nice feeling.

  2. Hahahha, i was waiting for some massive burn against the Oilers…..lol, this knowing Johnny is a Flames guy….but man, appreciate you paying respect to how the Oil have been playjng the defensive side of the game.

  3. desharnais is really becoming a solid dman. hes a warrior and blocks a ton of shots. Oilers defense is underated, rn are top 3 in fewest goals against over the entire season

  4. Desharnais has come along way. I was stolked to see us get a shut down stay at home D man. Last year he had his troubles but this year he has learned and exceeded expectations. Great guy in the locker room and a great stay at home defenseman

  5. The oilers finally have a solid team. Great offense as usual, reliable defense and solid starting and backup goaltending, real cup contenders

  6. NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEE!

  7. Has this been Holland's plan all along? Play Jenga around the salary cap and put together a silent killer? Unreal the transformation from those first few weeks. I'm trying to pick holes but all I can come up with is slow starts and some sloppy play (of late). I've gotten on Leon for floating around a bit too much but the guy undoubtedly makes up for it anyway.

    Been going to their games since the WHA so I thought I've seen everything… Nope. This has been a pretty impressive run and I suspect it won't end soon with their toughest challenge after the break being Anaheim (they'll actually show up for Vegas. Not worried).

    They cannot take their foot off the gas.

  8. Desharnais has actually evolved into one of the most underrated aspects to this team. Like his play now compared to last season is leagues above. I feel really confident with him back and that’s not something I could say before

  9. Edmonton's D has improved dramatically ever since hiring one of the all time great shut down Dmen as their D coach… oh wait… Coffey never played D… WTF is going on… lol.

  10. Vinny has become quite a solid guy, really fun … he can also beat the crap outta ya.

  11. Vinnie is a really nice guy and loves the opportunity he has before him. It’s a shame that certain other channels cough SPDN cough completely wrote him off as a D-man after last season even though their own precious Leafs were kicking tires about Vinnie.

  12. Desharnais has easily become my favorite defensemen this season. Greatly improved since last season and will only benefit us more going into the playoffs.

  13. Desharnais got drafted late in the 7th round in his last year of eligibility. He played his way up from the ECHL, AHL, and now the NHL for just over a year. It has been incredible to see how much growth he has had in theis past year!

  14. Sure the offence is great, but this team has only allowed 14 goals against during the entire month of January. I’m amazed that’s not getting more chatter around the league.
