Been a long playoff drought for the Canes. Disappointment year after year. Maybe they'll finally play golf by mid May. Hopefully the Canes won't be golfing until mid June. Keep those Canes grinding Brind'Amour.

1. First goal should have stood. That said, that's life. Plenty of other scoring opportunities missed from bad puck luck, fanned shots, or good saves/defense by Canes.
2. Isles scored a lot of their goals against the Pens in the top corners, they have to shoot mid-range on Mrazek. He has a fast glove and is expecting high shots, his "flourish" style of glove saves will miss the mid-height shots.

I thought mrazek was absolute garbage in Detroit. Man was I way wrong.
i saw how canes beat the drunks, caps had no goal tender. but the whole team and city sucks,

I was at Buffalo Wild wings at the Palisades mall cheering for Carolina. watched the first 2 periods a very good game both teams had chances goaltending was great. glad they over ruled that goal calling it goaltending interference good call by the Replay.
When I got home put on the Colorado San Jose and the announcer mentioned that Carolina won it in ot great to hear that.
They just fix up Nassau colleseum and they have the game in Brooklyn why?

Former goaltender myself, THIS is one of those games that i live for to watch in the playoffs! Kinda wish it was one of those that just kept going 2,3 ots! At least its only game 1! Only downside of this series is i don't want either team to be knocked out when it done.
Mrazek was insane in this. To think Detroit knew what they had and then Filthy gives up on him after a short trial when they always need goaltending .. LOL!

I still cant believe Barzals goal was called off for Interference when Lee was clearly driven into Mrazek by Wallmark. Both hands up high on Lees chest just under the chin driving him into the goalie.
