  1. Well just proves drury isnt GM worthy. 1 bad move makes 3 good moves irrelevent. Filip is critical for ranager sucess.

  2. People need to to respect brain injury, I suffered a severe tbi as a child and have had 4 concussions. the fact is you never get over a brain injury. It ruined my life. they dont heal the damage is permanent. np may or may not take place. didnt work for me.

  3. Well something up with patrick laine too and he out too idk if some kinda depression or the meds from clavicle break got him feeling some type of way

  4. Chytil is genuinely one of our best skaters, we could desperately use him right now. Hopefully he stays healthy next season

  5. You're right, Monahan is to be avoided. And some people think the habs could get a first for him…just insane!

  6. Why you hating on Monahan? He's crawled out of the depths of injury and actually looks decent this season. A good 3rd line center option and he's cheap

  7. Really feel bad for Fil—as a person first, and as a player. Just hope he gets well for the sake of getting well. Godspeed to Fil.

  8. trouba probably ran him over in practice since hes a fucking clown, Rags get what they deserve once again

  9. im hoping with everything i have that this doesnt become a Dustin Pedroia situation. For those unfamiliar with the 2nd baseman for the boston red sox, pedroia had his career cut short (saying that generously, he played about 14 seasons in the league). essentially, he got injured, hed be out for months at a time, whenever he tried to return, hed just reaggravate his injury, forcing him into retirement. i just hope that chytil takes the time he needs to recover, and comes back just as strong, if not stronger. he was jsut beginning to hit his stride in the league, and it really hurts to see him hurt as he was heating up. wishing him and the rangers the best

  10. Maybe it’s time to start thinking about retiring. He has the entire rest of his life he will lead. It isn’t worth sacrificing your long term health.

  11. He’s done! That’s not being negative that’s being realistic! It is extremely sad but we’re talking about his brain! NHL players are 5x more likely to get a concussion than a NFL player. Fans need to just be supportive and empathetic but he shouldn’t be worrying about anything but his health now

  12. Went to the Thunderbirds/Silvertips game yesterday and the Thunderbirds goalie was on minute away from a 65 shot shutout. Tips scored after pulling their goalie. Would have been a crazy feat.

  13. "No offense to the player I just dont really trust him" Yeaaah thats Definietly offense to the player xD Like.. "No offense Eck but I fucking hate you and your vids are trash" doesnt really work lmao.

  14. Concussions are a wild thing, Usually when you hit something repeatedly it gets stronger but with the head it’s the complete opposite. As someone who’s been concussed multiple times and don’t even turn 20 for another couple months it takes a huge toll on you. You just feel slower and not all there when things are at a high pace. Hoping he can come back strong and this doesn’t affect his career more than it already has.

  15. Hate to see it. Rangers been having a great season. Don't wanna see my team move up in the standings because New York loses a player. Philly already lost Hart due to the scandal. Carolina can hopefully get some wins together. Need a deep playoff run.

  16. He got Lindrosed, career shortened greatly by repeated concussions. But that's what "real" hockey fans want, it's a big men's game and all, fighting and hard hits only etc. Keep your head up, boy, is what they say to players like Chytil.

  17. Since I heard about the re-injury last week I’ve been readying myself to hear he’s going to have to step away from hockey completely. As much as I miss him on the team and as much as I’d love to see him back next year at 100%, I also want him to be ok as a person, particularly as a person who is 24 and has his whole life ahead of him. Four (and does this make five?) concussions is bad enough, and with the possibility that somewhere around the league some goon is probably already rubbing his hands together thinking about targeting Fil when he comes back, part of me says his health is so much more important and hopes he won’t even risk it. This just sucks.

  18. Hopefully he talks to the same doctors that Sid talked to when he had concussion problems. A lot of people were saying his career might be over but look at him now 10 years later.

  19. From a Flyers fan: feeling sad for the kid, I really hope he'll be able to come back. Most important thing is to do what's best for himself and he'll have some big decisions to make. All the best to him, sad story😢

  20. I swear we have the worst luck when it comes to young talent, with injuries or just not working out in general.

  21. Can’t imagine being at that level and not being able to play but CTE is a real issue and his long term health should be more important than anything. His family, in the long run, will appreciate it

  22. this is so sad, hes a great player. at least he sent out a message thay says he'll be back and better than ever. so much potential for this kid.

  23. The kid has a fragile brain, that bump with Fast shouldn't have concussed him, or really anyone. I hope he makes the smart move and retires. He's got the money from this contract to just settle down and enjoy his life. It's just not worth the risk. And I was a big fan of his too, I think he was ready to be a point per game player during his prime years .

  24. Reminds me of what happened with Andrew Shaw. So much potential and skill, and the amount of concussions he got, and having to retire after only 8 years of playing professional hockey

  25. There was a similar situation with Stephen Johns in Dallas. Loved that guy and it was hard to have to see him leave bc of the concussions. He had post concussion syndrome and that is a career killer in contact sports. Hopefully it isnt the same with Chytil.

  26. If I were the rangers I would definitely try to trade for monahan ya sure he’s had major injuries in the past but you’ll only be getting him for the test of the year on a amazing contract

  27. This is very sad. Young kid with a potentially great future in the sport who was super entertaining to watch on the Kid line. I'm not a Rangers fan by any means, but I liked watching them play and it always sucks to see such a young kid's career being derailed like this. Hope he comes back better than ever.

  28. It's not just him!! This is damaging across the NHL. My Islanders just lost Pelech, again, due to 4th or 5th concussion. More needs to be done about how players check and the discipline that follows! Talented players are being wasted by goons that have little to no talent!!

  29. Concussions are no joke.

If you're not familiar, please see Concussion, the movie. After watching, remember that the NFL had scenes cut from the movie.

    I've had many.

  30. He wasn’t really progressing. The kid line the past 2 seasons was a mistake. They needed to be split and play with vets like Laffy and Kakko are now. Them all being together held them back. Chytil is most likely done.
