I dunno if I want Habs to let Monahan go. With every game I like him on team more and more.
He could be good 3rd line guy to lead our youngsters. Few weeks ago I said my dream line would be RHP-Dach-Mesar, but I would swap Dach for Monahan.
Our TOP 6 would be Suzu, Cole , Slaf, Dach, Newhook + one good trade we have draft picks for. And MAN from that you can build crazy trios!
Would love to see Monahan traded to the Oilers. First because they are Cup bound. Second is just to flip the finger to Calgary.

I am surprised to hear all of you guys that want to exchange Monahan or Matheson when these 2 players are the soul and experience to the team. These 2 players are the best thing that has happened to the Canadians in a long while. If you guys want to become a contender you need this kind of experience and skills, it’s one thing to have a bunch of young prospects but is never going to bring back the Cup in Mtl!
Are you guys kidding? You think Hughes is going to accept anything less than the best return to do Monahan a solid? It's not like Monahan has been with our team for many years. We did that for Petry, but he had been a Hab for eight years. We must trade him to the highest bidder! If two offers about about the same, then he might take Monahan's preference into consideration, but otherwise we want the best return!

If a Monahan trade is imminent I hope it's NOT to the Oilers or Canucks. I hate those two teams and if Monahan ends up in one of those two cities I won't be able to cheer for the guy. And I really do want him to do well because he's a good guy.
Would Monahan like to be traded to play on a third line, 12 min per game max?
To me I think LA could work. With PLD playing horrible and their PP being mid I think thats two things he can fix to get then back into form. He plays their style of Hockey really well and is on a cup contender.
