Will Ferrell, where you at
As a Californian and life long Kings fan, it’s been tough to see the rankings of SJ, ANA, and LA. If THG existed since the early 2000’s it would be a much better story. Was a time when all 3 teams were powerhouses.
The LA Kings could be a good example of how a re-tool is not always the way to go to get to the ultimate goal of winning a Cup. They had their few down seasons after 2018 when they retooled their roster with the exodus of guys like Carter, Martinez, Toffoli, Muzzin, etc. but never fully went into a rebuild. And so far they have gotten better enough to be a playoff team, but not to go anywhere in those playoffs.

Shannon, if you do future editions of these videos, I'd like to see the teams' win-percentages (and ranks) included alongside their points-percentage. Understanding that win-% will basically always be lower, I think it'd be interesting to compare the discrepancies (maybe those discrepancies could themselves be ranked?), and it would allow more comparisons to the overall rankings.
I don't know how much work that'd be to collate with the data from Max & Yvonne, but it's something I always wonder about when points-% is brought up.
