Atlanta

Donc ça semble plutôt bien réglé, non ? Atlanta reçoit une autre équipe. Comment nous sentons-nous ?

Which Canadian city will the franchise be in 10
    Years later tho?

  2. Successful_Top_8489

Why do they think it will work a third time? They gonna give away free beer at games? Also, what was wrong with Philips/State Farm Arena?

  3. sexymcluvin

With talks of Atl and Utah, who else would be added to balance the scales? Or would there just be 17 teams in each conferance?

    “From Earth”

Maybe the next expansion team will be placed there.

  5. MontEcola

    WTF?

So many hockey teams have left Atlanta. Why put another there?

When has the third movie in a series been better then the first two?

  7. AceShipDriver

Expansion teams are a waste unless the NHL goes back to the way the draft was before Vegas bribed the NHL in order to get a more favorable draft situation, and screw over the established teams.

  8. GroceryStickDivider

Whos running an official social media page of an NHL team that hasn’t existed in 10 years?

People act like Atlanta was responsible for the Flames and Thrashers failing, and not pathetic ownership.

The Flames were sold off after five years. That’s not the mark of ownership that gives a shit, that’s the mark of a scam artist in the business of making the quickest buck possible.

The Atlanta Spirit Group are hockey terrorists for what they did to the Thrashers.

I know people hate it but I think expansion is a good thing. The more the merrier

Atlanta’s hockey problems may have been due more to inept ownership than lack of fans. Put a decent team on the ice and ATL could be a solid hockey town.

I think I speak for Kansas City, Milwaukee, Houston, Quebec and SLC, when I say….ayo what the fuck?

As The Book of Mormon teaches us, the third in a trilogy is always the best version.

  14. Otherwise_Awesome

People not knowing what truly happened in Atlanta with the Thrashers just spout off about attendance and winning so incorrectly.

This would be AMAZING!!! I miss us having an NHL team. Atlatna Spirit and the NHL board of governors and Gary Bettman can all sit on an egg and rotate.

  16. DotAppropriate8152

So they will have a third team that won’t last. Awesome strategy.
Guess they are the primer for another Canadian Team when they move.

  17. sneakyfingers45

Hopefully the coyotes get moved there instead of another ..expansion …team

  18. sashachenko

Awesome news. If the team has a good ownership group it’ll succeed.

  19. Much-Consequence8648

    Relocation-yes.

    Expansion- no.

  20. pettster12

I just want Atlanta back for those sweet sweet jerseys. One of my all time favourites

  21. Unless you are giving Canada another team please stop expanding. The product and talent are so watered down already.

It depresses me how much this is the best sport, but the worst league.

  22. deltajulietbravo

Atlanta has failed how many times? Go to salt Lake city or somewhere new.

  23. schafkj

There’s an old saying in Atlanta, I know it’s in Calgary and Winnipeg, probably in Atlanta too, fool me once, shame on…shame on you…fool me can’t get fooled again.

  24. DaqCity

Atlanta is the WORST of the potential places that I’ve heard

  25. Hutch25

The NHL does not have a large enough market, a large enough pool of players, a large enough pool of goalies, or even a large enough fanbase for this.

Plus, if this happens Boston, Florida, and Calgary are fucked because one or more of them is losing a crucial goalie.

  27. chipcity90

Congrats to Atlanta for actively making the league worse, for the 3rd time. Quite a feat.

  28. TheHip41

    Why?

No one went last time. They won’t go this time.

  29. johnggarland

I can think of at least 4 CANADIAN markets which would do very well. Typical @NHL being myopic as usual.
