  1. Avs fans have been spoiled since they arrived. Other than some rough patches they've always been competitive. Fun fact. They are the first to bring a championship to Colorado. Beating the broncos by a year.

  2. I wouldn’t say “stupid hockey guy always underrating the Avs” but I would say your interest in them/commentary on them is lower than some others. Which, is fair, certainly not mad at it, I do just enjoy videos like this that much more! Love your content Shannon and thank you for all you do!

  3. Best sports team in Colorado, hands down. Nuggets are also good. Broncos are a cursed disappointment. The Rockies are awful as always.

The Avs need to trade for a backup goalie, and I agree that they need a 2nd line center. Management cannot hope that Landeskog will come back and wait on him like they did last season. I'm hoping they bring in one of the Montreal goalies, such as Allen or maybe even Montembeault.

  5. I really don’t like how the Avs kind of escaped the ‘stolen championship’ narrative the Stars’ 99 cup has around it (and no, I’m not talking about the crease). More than a few people (mostly wild fans, coincidentally, I’m sure) say that if the North Stars hadn’t moved then they’d have won that cup in Minnesota. Putting aside how that was two years before the move and there not being a guarantee that events would play out exactly the same, it makes no sense how Colorado won a cup the same year they moved from Quebec, yet never get accused of ‘stealing’ a championship from there. Maybe it’s because Quebec fans are more concerned with just getting a team back, or the Avs just being good for pretty much the entire time they’ve been there, or what, but it’s just always been an odd thing.

  6. "We're #5; because we're one of the 5 youngest franchises in the league…not counting the years in Quebec. With that said, #5 is still too low…top 3 is what I expected, so you blew it on the rankings with this one bud."🫥

  7. The Duchene trade is the Herschel Walker trade of Hockey. My sens still haven't recovered from that move.

  8. Avs fan here. Good review.
I think another detriment last year was pushing too hard to win the division, thus running the top guys into the ground. I would rather have a more rested top line and maybe face a stronger first round opponent.

  9. 5 is higher than i thought, i thought 10th ish, i guess my Avs have been elite longer than i thought

  10. I thought they were a bit high, then i realized you started this channel AFTER the travesty that was the 2016/2017 season.
