I hate that the hawks are consistently in the winter classic, but I can’t wait to watch the blues bend over the hawks in their own city.

And all Hawks fans groan. Have they won an outdoor game yet? 😄 I seriously cannot wait for this! I’ve been to all the Blues’ winter classic games. No reason to stop now! I hope they have an alumni game like they did when the Hawks came to St Louis. That was even better than the NHL game, IMO.
Because of Connor Bedard we are going to be involved in at least 2 more winter classics. Over the next decade would be my guess
I hope Dvorsky/Snugg is on the team for this game. Future of both franchises sort of thing.

Holy shit that’s sick! I moved out of Chicago during the pandemic and have been looking for a reason to go back. This is a great excuse LGB! Also we’re going to get a lot of residual Bedard clout over the next couple decades

One of the Biggest hockey markets so they will make tons of money. And a rivalry game to boot.

Is excited as I am for this, I’m kind of surprised that (1) we didn’t have to wait another 5 years or so and (2) we didn’t get a Blues-Nashville matchup before this one. Can’t wait to read about all the behind the scenes maneuvering that brought this about.
The outdoor games are fun but they feel oversaturated with the extra stadium series games. If it was just the Heritage Classic and the Winter Classic I’d be quite satisfied.

Do I like being in the Winter Classic? Yes.
Do I also think their are many teams who deserve the chance to get in one, any one, at some point? A bigger Yes!
Let Vancouver, LA, or Tampa have their first. Maybe Edmonton vs Calgary. Their fans deserve it.
