  1. if you sign with a team with no income tax, then get traded to canada, how does that work? is that income taxed in canada or no?

  2. Montréal W, but still think they could have gotten a mid or late draft pick for their troubles for helping out Vegas who is desperate for cap space at the moment. This reminds me a lot of the Tyler Johnson and a 2nd for Brent Seabrook trade from last year.

  3. As long as the Golden Goofs miss the playoffs again…otherwise I could not care less.

  4. I can see Dadonov being promised to get moved from the Habs, Vegas get their LTIR, Habs get to flip Dads for assets and Dads might get his contender

  5. If i'm the Habs Gm, i'm telling the coach to put Dadonov on all Power Plays and let him have great stats so we can trade him at the deadline for the biggest draft pick of 2023

  6. I really don't understand what's in it for Vegas in this trade…
Weber won't play again and Vegas will carry him for the next 4 years….
    Don't understand Vegas…

  7. I think it's a pretty solid hockey trade for the Habs too. Could see Dads as a second line winger with Wright at center

  8. Kind of interesting that the Dadonov trade to Anaheim included Vegas sending a second round pick to the ducks, but this trade was just a one for one swap. Curious as to why Montreal didn't ask for any other assets in return.

  9. I know it is most likely not gonna happen, but imagine if Weber gets healthy and is added to that Vegas blue line.

  10. Hopefully we can get a second or even a first for him at the TDL with salary retained (only if teams are as desperate as they were this year.) That would only really happen if he can improve a little for a 50 point 20 goal season when given a chance.

  11. I don’t understand why Montreal would need webers contract gone, or why Vegas wouldn’t have traded for a pick

  12. As a Canadiens fan my day gas now been ruined. This man had clearly been leading the team and also could be an impact in our rebuild… I'm just confused on why they would trade an All-Star for a no-namer.

  13. You're allowed to trade before the playoffs end? Like the Avs could trade for a player mid series or bad teams just get rewarded?? Idk about this

  14. depending on what they get for this guy, that's what the canadiens will ultimately for dadonov. if it's a second round pick then it's shea weber for a second round pick. that's when we find out if this was worth it. it also gives montreal some cap space. as much as i hate to say it, they probably have to do the same with price's contract, now that would be some magic.

  15. I had a sub who is Webers cousin and he isn’t going to play again she said he is retiring but its not announced yet

  16. Don’t forget Dadanov displayed TREMENDOUS character getting trading illegally and coming back and being Vegas’s best player those last 5 games of this past season. Very high level of grit and character. That counts. He’s also skilled and probably a real pro. I think this was a thank you from Vegas bc being Russian and living in Montreal is as close to being in Europe as you can get. Montreal should take Slafkosky not Wright. He’s too much Jagr. I honestly think he’ll get 40 goals next season with good line mates. Imagine if Slafkosky played with Jack Hughes? Damn…..
