I thought McDAVID CAME TO PLAY BUT THE REST OF THE TEAM LOOKED OUT OF SINK ESPECIALLY DRAISAITL. He just did not show up. I hate games after a long break from the all-star game. DRAISAITL was Very slow- looked like an old man on ice. Also too many turn overs against a really great team in VEGAS ON VEGAS HOME ICE, on GARY BUTTMANS LOVE CHILD team VEGAS GOLDEN GIRLS.Too many missed opportunities. I .hate their building and ice . It’s like knock hockey. I hate their glitz and fan base … it just not nhl Hockey but a circus performance and circus fans not hockey fans … showgirls, bands fireworks and dancing girls is not hockey . I guess that’s what BUTTMAN LIKES. Circus fans and a team that looked like they were members of the FOO FIGHTERS BAND led by Dave grohl. I knew this was going to be a hard game for the OILERS. But they gave up the puck too much and their D was making too many mistakes. I hope the end of streak doesn’t affect them and they continue their quest for playoff success and playoff position. Disappointed in the loss and end of historic streak but I just want the oilers to win. Beat the GOLDEN GIRLS IN THE PLAYOFFS. By the way PITTSBURGH DID NOT WIN A CUP SINCE that 17 streak OF 1992-1993.

Yeah we did carry the play in the first and second, it was a tight playoff type game good learning lesson going forward. They are the champs and it took the champs to beat us. 16 wins is still very impressive. I thought our defense played them better then in the playoffs a few breakdowns in a tight game leads to goals as it should.hill played great. Drai had an off game, nurse played really well could tell he wanted it, mcdavid did too. Thanks guys for a great run! now work on the little things.😊 ❤

Tough heart breaking loss to VGK of all teams. The "Pretenders" comments will endlessly be spattered all over social media. Heart breaking to Oiler fans, a hilarious laughing stock to Vegas fans. That's what that loss really means. We came close, but the Oilers chose to become victims of their own wishful thinking, wishing the media would stop asking questions about the streak. I've said it a million times the rock band needs to get back together..Foegele, Draisaitl and McLeod, but Knoblauch insists on playing Kane the trainwreck with Draisaitl. The ole square peg in the circular hole syndrome. Defensively the Oilers were sound, however there was zero scoring chemistry on 3 of 4 lines tonight. Knoblauch needs to watch this game 10 times and go back to the drawing board and figure it out. As someone already made the comment..this is how you lose playoff games.
All the missed goals have names: the third goal was into an empty net and I didn’t like Bouchard’s actions on the blue line, the second goal was the responsibility of Fögerle and Ceci, and the very first goal was a goal named after Mathias Eknolm)) In general, the second trio played very poorly😝 and, in particular, Kane🤪🤪
I actually think Hamblin is a more sound defensive player than Holloway. Hamblin demonstrated that repeatedly during the streak. Holloway is flip flopping all over the place trying to be everywhere at once. Holloway is not a defensively minded player. That's obvious. He's always trying to be some scoring NHL star. Whereas Hamblin just stuck to the defensive game plan, went about his business quietly and always executed the assignments that Knoblauch gave him perfectly. I think Knoblauch was very comfortable with players like Hamblin, Gagner, Janmark and Ryan. He knows what their limits are and knows what they do best. You throw guys like Holloway and Perry into the mix and Kane wining on a nightly basis that he belongs on the top 2 lines,, Knoblauch made the mistake of trying to please everyone. I personally think Hamblin has better hockey sense than Holloway. A higher hockey IQ always wins over speed in the NHL. How many times has Holloway been hurt? That's a lack of awareness on the ice and hockey IQ. Bottom line is Hamblin's a smarter player than Holloway. Knoblauch has to stop being a player pleaser and ice the right players and put those players on the lines they belong.
No little red dots on the ice with Kane and Nurse and Gagner and Ryan and Perry and Holloway on the Roster? Why did you decide to become the Little Spoon? Occasionally one must change things up even if its a one-off. This was a Value-Plus type of game and it required an extra effort and grind but we got the Little Spoon position instead of the Big Spoon spot and it was not comfortable ok Coach…..lol….lol….you will be ready next time right?. Congratulations on the incredible Streak it was amazing to watch as a Fan. Well done.Back to work.
They had this one in the bag. 2 posts, Leon missed a wide open net, Kane missed a tap in. They just couldn't put the damn puck in the net. Tough loss.
It was a great game played. Ya can't win all the games BUT it was a learning game .very happy

Team was so out of sync with the lazy passes. He should've started Pickard against Hill not Skinner
Foegele needs to step it up. I yelled at him the MOST last night from my couch. Poor hustle on a couple plays he was near the puck.

I liked our second period. 3rd line was good as well. McDavid was trying his heart out but like the playoffs Hyman, Kane and RNH were invisible. D men played very well to shut down high danger chances. The 2nd goal on Skinner should have been stopped. Adin Hill in in the Oilers head now- they need to study tape on him and figure out his weakness otherwise they r toast in the playoffs vs Vegas.
The sixteen winning games in the post-season are more important!
