I’m not really sure why people are in a hurry to trade Allen, it’s not like he’s getting us anything valuable.
At this point, just trade him to anyone willing to not charge us to take him. Put everyone out of the misery of rotating 3 goalies. Monty deserves his net full time with a slice of Primeau on the side.
I don’t really mind it. Unless they retain 50% they likely won’t get that big a return, and even at 50% retained doubt they get much.
With Edmunson and Petry taking two slots this year and Petry taking a slot next year I don’t mind the preference to keep options open there.
If nobody wants to pay for him by the deadline, you can always put the « for sale » sign back up at the draft.
With Sergachev going down tonight. I wonder if Brisbois calls up Hughes about Matheson or Savard.

I think for a while had a goalie that was injuries and now that we have some backup, we don’t need it.
With The luck the Habs have, as soon we trade Allen, Monty or our #3 will get hurt.
