About 8 years ago the Leafs fully tanked, essentially inheriting Mathews, Marner, et al. by simply making those obvious draft choices. Since then management has proceeded to add no goalie of note, zero defenders of note, zero depth scoring or checking line of note.
In conclusion, the Leafs have overachieved to this point, considering they don’t have anything past the players they basically inherited when they tanked.

Whick I believe about time the leaque looks at the garbage officating in the leaque that leads to scrums and fights along boards and battles for the puck and fans paying top bucks in the leaque to watch the game and that has to change like it use to be for a faceoff instead of the Referee saying to move the puck.
