Just watched the power rankings, as a Stars fan – was disappointed but grudgingly agreed to Dallas being higher in the standings than they’re performing…and then lol’d at seeing this video in my feed

Man, it blows my mind how people don't understand the way your power rankings work, I love Dallas, but they're not playing their best, simple as that. Very excited to see them prove their mettle in this upcoming slate of games. Doesn't matter what the standings say unless your talking playoff positions, but that isn't what power rankings are about. I love the power ranking videos nonetheless, they keep me up with all the other teams in the league, keep on at it and hopefully people will catch on to the system (my hopes are low…)

Dallas hate bias in the power rankings has been a thing forever. They lose one game and THG beats them like punching bag.
In other words the power rankings are not Stanley Cup predictions
Im skeptical of any team in the west actually being good outside of Vegas and Colorado.

Being a former resident of Minnesota and a North Stars fan I can honestly say…..I do hate the Dallas Stars.
If your over 500 Dallas will struggle and probably not beat you

Dallas; it's a love/hate relationship.
Steve Dangle said in a video recently, after a Leafs loss, that what Dallas Stars fan is worried about playing TOR? Implying none should.
I laughed and should have posted "I can think of two", being my wife and I because we know.
And, obviously, they lost. That's Dallas. For years they've had a good team, decent depth and goal tending, but they have an uncanny ability to lose games they should win and somehow win games they have no business winning.
I look forward to another stressful post season that hopefully leads to the cup because they absolutely could do it.
And just as easily they could fumble it.

Sad thing is, as a Stars fan, we have to be critical of them. Hes asking the right questions. Where are Robertson, Benn, Pavs, Miro on the score sheet? Hoping Oetters All Star experience gets him back to those stats and with this small sample size of the last three games it seems like it is. That being said, Ive started to accept that the identity of this team this year is that they rarely win pretty, but they do win.
The issue with the upcoming 5 is all five are winable if you are Dallas, but they are also all loosable. Specially the back to back.

Edmonton was #1 in your last power rankings. You move them up for beating bad teams but not Dallas. Not consistent team to team.

As a Stars fan I concur with Shannon. They have a lot to prove in terms of ranking amongst the true elite teams. Consistency has been elusive game to game. We’ll see how they stack up to their next 5 opponents.
