Does it say what we were before the flames trade ?

We’re up +10 places since last year (were 28th). Crazy how Allvin managed to make us potential contenders while restocking our prospect pool at the same time.

Obviously 18th isn’t anything mind blowing, but it’s still better than nearly all the other top teams in the league right now. We have at least some future runway in our pool currently

  3. For those curious: (rankings with tier separation)

    Tier 1:
    1. Lekkerimaki
    2. Willander

    Tier 2:
    3. Podkolzin

    Tier 3:
    4. Raty
    5. D-Petey
    6. Silovs

    Tier 4:
    7. Truscott
    8. Bains
    9. Klimovich
    10. Mynio
    11. Mcward
    12. Kudryavtsev
    13. Mueller
    14. Tolopilo

This was a pretty sunny write-up. Wheeler is far more positive about prospects’ upside and the strengths of their games than Pronman is.

so excited to have willander and lekkermaki join us. also i watched a handful of willander interviews and he sounds really mature and well-spoken

Being number 18 in terms of prospect pool rankings isn’t anything fantastic. But when you consider where this prospect pool was when Jim Rutherford and Patrick Allvin took over, it’s fantastic that they have moved up this quickly while also building this team into the contending team they are now.

I don’t have access to the Athletic, is there a reason the other E Pettersson isn’t ranked or considered a prospect?

That’s a huge improvement since the new management team got here.
