Normally I think this guy is a bit of a dutz but he’s spitting nothing but facts here. Hard to hear facts but facts non the less.
I don’t think the Flames should ever try to lose but you shouldn’t try to win on the backs of 30+ year olds. Kadri, Coleman, Markstrom and Weegar should all be available considering their current value, our current state of mediocrity, their age and spots their taking from young guys who could use the experience. All that without mentioning the increased chance at landing top end talent like Celebrini.
I don’t like tanking but I also don’t like shooting for a wildcard spot when your core is past their prime and you don’t have any young talent that could be “that guy”
(Don’t get me wrong, I love Zary but I can’t see him being more than a Lindholm type 1C who needs those guys around him)
