Don’t get too high on dick monfort. This is the guy that said he doesn’t spend a lot of money so he can keep tickets cheap…
We’ve seen hints in the past that carriage contracts often prohibit standalone streaming below a certain price, meaning KSE’s contracts with DirecTV and Fubo could be limiting their options. With DirecTV that’s somewhat forgivable since I don’t think anyone foresaw the collapse of the RSN business in 2019, but if there’s a provision like that in the Fubo contract then someone made a bad decision.
They have taken so long at this point and I have had to sail the high seas for so many years that I have become extremely adept at it. At this point I doubt I’d buy it even if it did get released. A bit of a “you snooze you lose” situation and Kroenke/Altitude has been snoozing for years.
That’s the text line to the radio station, you’re not going to accomplish anything with that. I dk how Vegas was able to set that up, because no other team has been able to. They broadcast for free over the air which im guessing is why they are allowed to offer a streaming service.
The Rockies streaming service is through MLB.tv because MLB is starting to take responsibility for getting games to people. It’s not Monfort paying for his own website out of the kindness of his heart. If Altitude had an option they would take it, they gain nothing from people pirating games.

Kinda a different situation as the RSN the Rockies were on folded and the MLB will be producing games themselves.
I don’t think it’s a reasonable price given the fact that the team sucks and they will lose 2/3 of the games this season. If they fielded a competitive roster, I’d say the price was decent.
