  1. Sam Gagners Karma touched Mcdavid tonight…I was hoping to see the Single Game Points Record go down tonight. Connor could have had 10.

  2. The Oilers’ new style is lit. McDavid as playmaker. It’s difficult for McDavid to switch but he’s showing leadership by becoming the playmaker so kudos to him. McDavid had 6 assists and we saw 8 goals from 7 different players. Most encouraging is that almost all goals were contributions from different lines. That’s an awesome development to see. Hope the lines continue to build up their strength and confidence in the second half and it will be exciting to see when the lines mature with their build up chemistry.

  3. This team needs to invest in more sophisticated analysts. Guys like Strudwick or Brown that have actually played the game. Lots of backslapping, no analysis of blown leads and own zone defending breakdown bad habits which have been creeping back.

  4. So Bob would you still pick Valeri Nichushkin over Darnell Nurse ? Inquiring minds want to know. Oh Yeah you were only guessing thats who the Oilers would pick. So never mind.

  5. So have any you media pundits done a comparison of how the Oilers right side defense stacks up with some other teams? Take Boston & Florida. How about Seattle & Arizona even. Is our right side superior to them? Yet it was someone from TSN or Sportsnet said the Oilers defense was one of the best defences. Ok. Btw kudos to Paul Coffey for helping in improving their play. Now can you bring in some of your smash mouth ex teammates to teach the defense how to play hard, tough nosed, smash mouth 2 hands on their sticks in their opponents chest & backs especially on their side of the center line? Thats the difference between our defence & Calgary, Vegas & LA even Vancouver & all these earlier ones I already mentioned. Question is Edmonton how bad do you want it? How bad do you want to win? Are you willing to pay the price? I remember listening to Wayne Gretzky tell the story of how he & Mark Messier walked past the Islander's dressing room after losing to them in their 1st Stanley Cup final & they noticed how subdued they were for having just won. He said they noticed Islander players applying ice packs on & that was the difference, that was the price to pay in order to win.
