Dominated the first half of the game, were victimized by Auston Matthews turning into a wizard for 8 minutes, showed tremendous fight to get back into the hockey game, earned a point on a night where the Devils lost, and were burned by the keepaway meta in OT.
I’ll live with it. Huge game Saturday.
Man I can’t remember the last time I felt so good about a loss.
We got buried by them early and scratched and clawed our way back into the game against a stacked team. Took em to OT, made one bad mistake on the change and paid for it. But man. What a fun team this is.
This was my personal litmus test, as Toronto is just talent stacked and desperate for points. And I was wildly impressed. We aren’t there yet. We definitely have work to do as far as building the team, but there is so much here to love. It’s fun to be a flyers fan again

This game is the definition of « it is what it is ». Great effort in the first and third, sloppy work in the second and overtime. One point earned on the road. Woulda been nice to take crazy winning energy to the stadium series, but heck, ya can’t win em all. I hope we dust ourselves off and bring the A game on Saturday

This game was a coinflip stat wise and they do have the better advance stats and GD. Points are good though and we like points in any form you can get em. Especially if the other team isn’t in your conference.
Overall fun game. I’ve been really down on Philly sports teams the past year for effort and systemic issues. But I trust Torts & the boys the most at correcting their mistakes with how they’ve responded all year(yes, it’s still crazy to say for the 1st year of a rebuilding Flyers org). Was good to see them fight back.
