Noah Juulsen Amour

Kinda surprised how little love he gets considering he’s the only BC/Lower Mainland player on the roster. He should get more love as a local player.

  2. Good EV Defense and PK is what you need from your depth defenders.

If I’m Allvin I would be trying to sign him to an early extension, perhaps a 2 X 2. Juulsen has the tools and he’s starting to have the toolbox in place thanks to Foote and Gonchar’s tutelage, so barring an injury his stock is likely to continue trending up. He is like a young Luke Schenn with his truculence and stay-at-home play, and he’s been making smart decisions with the puck.

It’s interesting that Chef Allvin traded a 5th overall pick for Juulsen when Schenn was also drafted 5th OA.

Can’t bash the Juolevi draft anymore since we got Juulsen back from the trade to Florida.

I was just reminded today that he was a 1st round pick who had his career derailed early by concussions. He was drafted 26OA in 2015, 3 spots after Boeser.

He always had the talent to develop into a useful player and it’s amazing to see it’s happening with us, especially considering he came here in a trade where we dumped Joulevi and it just looked like a swap of “failed” 1st rounders. And the best part he’s still only 26, perfect age that fits with our core

Habs fan here, I am legitimately happy to read he’s made a NHL career for himself. He suffered a brutal injury early on

I have an objection to the idea that he was « unplayable » in the beginning.

He wasn’t very good in the first couple of games but he wasn’t the reason that we won or lost.

By game 10 of his, he was still getting shit on even though he was playing really well by that point.

Man, there sure are a lot of silly stats in hockey.

i was literally watching him against Detroit a few days ago and was thinking how he actually was playing pretty good compared to his first few games.

Dude is defending like prime Willie Mitchell out there

This is why I don’t get why people want to add another d-man. I like Juulsen a lot. Only way I’d bring in another d-man is if we move out one of our LD. But I like them too. I don’t know. Management knows best, I just think we’re fine on defence unless something really bad happens. Knock on wood

Gotta love the (lower mainland) Family Juuls

If this guy’s game continues to polish, Juulsen is gonna be a nice defensive piece for us. Dude just has to keep things simple he’s on the right track.
