  1. I don't like this trade at all. 1st and 4th draft picks…plus 2 prospects including Hunter who is looking like a diamond in the rough and a guy in Kuzmenko who is struggling yes but it's his second year coming off a 39 goal rookie season. The trajectory from there is usually upward. Boeser's rookie year was 29 followed by some rough seasons and then boom he gets some personal things worked out and he is a 40-50 goal scorer this year. No reason to think that bare minimum Kuzmenko might end up being that much of a productive player. And all we get back is a good but not great player who by all reports is looking for a massive contract next year and is unlikely to resign with Vancouver…from my perspective if we're giving all of that away we better damn well win the Cup this year or this is going to go down as one of the worst trades in Canucks history.

  2. Scratched most nights is a gross exaggeration. Kuzmenko's been scratched maybe a half dozen times and the Canucks have played 49 games.

  3. Our biggest need was a 2nd line center. It was between Lindholm and Monahan. Glad we got one. Lindholm needed a change of scenery, Kuzmenko wasn't fitting the coaching style. Brzustewicz looks really good in OHL, Flames got a cool D prospect, we already have two good ones in Willander and D-Petey. Jurmo is sweetener. The picks will be later round ones. Kuz trade also clears cap space for Canucks to re-sign core Petey and Hronek.

  4. The question that needs to be asked is ….
Why did Kuz fall apart so bad? You're on a team that should be contending for the cup! You find a way to stay on that roster. You find a way to get your game on track. This could be the only time in his career that a cup run is possible, and he threw it away for whatever reason. Sad
