I can’t wait for the trades to happen. Bring the excitement of trading to the fans and lift the weight of the shoulders of the players. Team morale has plummeted to shitters ever since the rumours started to pick up more

Let’s dismantle this team, get great draft picks, and have a whole new team for a whole new arena!

We’re at the “loud chorus of boos competing against the cheers of opponent fans” stage of whatever this rebuild/faux-playoff push is

Even with a lot of poor play through the year, I feel like we weren’t getting shutout or allowing this much before – two shutouts and 13 goals against in the last three games is really quite bad. Moving hanifin, Tanev, and even markstrom for the right deal is paramount now.

If you’re not going to win the Stanley Cup, you want to draft as high as possible. It’s okay if we’re kinda bad!

I’m not team tank AT ALL. In fact, I have season tickets and fucking hate it when they lose. But, there’s less than 30 games left and it’s time to cash in. Let’s fix this thing, get some assets, get some more young guys, and start finally building a winning culture.

If you’re team rebuild like I am then you have to be ok with games like yesterday happening from time to time

Is it tougher to watch? Yup. Is watching Markstrom get frustrated fun? No

But this team is lacking elite talent at the NHL level and in the prospect pool. The best/cheapest/highest probability of success of acquiring that elite talent is to draft it at the top of the draft.

So as much as yesterday isn’t fun to go through it really doesn’t bother me because I think it will help the franchise get what it desperately needs

Stopped going to Flames games long ago because I don’t have the disposable income for said team.
While I will watch the games when I can it’s a lot easier to turn off or switch channels but those who pay to see these games will stick through it.
Owners don’t care about the team as long as there are butts in the seats but it called being a fan through good and bad but in the last 34 years I have been here in Calgary the team has only come close ONCE in getting to the cup
    Rant over thanks for it
