    Mayfield 🚀☀️

Roy needs to make him. Healthy scratch the next few games. Show that this isn’t acceptable.

  2. PhantomWang

This was a certified New York Islanders moment.

  3. checknate1

It is pure fucking torture being a fan of this team holy shit

  4. brickhouse1360

I love this team but I just feel so defeated after every game

  5. Harambecansuckit

This is about as bad as it gets

  6. Dismal_Suit_1875

Actually done watching for the season what’s the fucking point

  7. BeerIsAlright

Missed calls for Rags players, calling every minor infraction against the Isles in the 3rd, whatever that net situation was, I don’t care.

No more excuses, head coaches, bag skates, or anything is going to save the team at this point. We wanted to get away from « boring hockey » but apparently that’s all this roster was capable of winning with.

  8. f1nalatomicbuster

    Mayfield… yikes. Just yikes.

  9. AlCool44

The Isles Don’t Give Up Three Straight Goals Challenge *IMPOSSIBLE*

  10. FioMonstercat

Replace Mayfield with literally anyone. Boychuk. Potvin. Strait. Anyone

  11. JoeGuinness

Those first two periods were nice, weren’t they?

  12. theduder999

Yay islanders. Thank you for ruining my shitty weekend.

  13. Pilot53Reddit

    Its simple

We banish mayfield to the echl

  14. sorrybutyou_arewrong

This team doesn’t deserve fans. Fuck this team. Fun game, but same ending.

  15. turbulentcounselor

Bro. I keep telling myself to stop caring. I did but this game reeled me in. I thought we could win. Fuck this.

This is like a toxic relationship fr

  16. priester85

I’m not one to complain about games being rigged, but the referees absolutely handed that game to the Rangers. Two soft penalties and a phantom penalty late in a close game. No fucking chance any of those are called in a normal game

  17. minos157

I can usually find something to defend Mayfield but not tonight.

Two stupid penalties in the last 6 that ended up as goals.

  18. crazyhotwheels

What a fucking screwjob. The NHL should be embarrassed but sadly they won’t. What a joke.

  19. liguy181

I’ve been so hesitant to hop on team blow-up-the-team, but fuckin hell, this sucked. Completely lost the game, took stupid penalties, let the dumbfuck rags fans walk out of metlife with a smile on their face

    This sucks. Mayfield sucks

Edit: lol at the rags fans in here. Go fuck yourself and get a life you fucking assholes

  20. Number-91

How is it possible for a team to be this bad with a 3 goal lead. Or any lead in the 3rd

  21. xSlappy-

🔥 Lou he is responsible for this 💩

  22. SnakeBradley

Refs can suck a dick. Mayfield can eat a fucking stadium full of dicks. This fucking guy has single handled fucked the end of our games over all season. Fuckin hockey IQ of a rock.

  23. RIPwhalers

This team shit the bed…but the refs definitely gave them a laxative with about 8 min left in the 3rd.

  24. Repulsive-Noise-1184

someone go back in time and tell young me how big of a mistake i am making being an islander, jet, and met fan pls…

  25. MacStainless

I’m buying Mayfield a 1-way ticket into the sun. Bye mofo. 👋🏻

  26. Directormike813

Mayfield needs to go right away. Trade him for literally anything

  27. I 🙋🏻‍♂️ wish 💫 to ✌️ die 🪦

  28. Directormike813

At this point fire Lou. This team isn’t going anywhere with him as GM.

  29. This team is so poverty, it hurts my soul

  30. viewless25

Ive been a fan of this team for 15 years but this game broke me. Im out. for this year at least

  31. Sherman_Gepard

Gave up a PP to give up a goal. Need to cut it there. You have the opportunity to still salvage it.

Then Mayfield takes another penalty. Then they give up another PP goal. Then they panic and try to pin the puck of their own zone for the final minute risking a regulation loss. Then win the opening face-off in OT and hideously turn it over right in front of their own goalie to complete the implosion.

This team has zero resolve. They utterly spiral out of control at the end of games. I don’t think that can be fixed any time soon.

  32. Basedshark01

Today’s game demonstrated that the Islanders’ problem rests entirely with the players. Roy made marked progress with our defensive breakouts and all of our players were in the right places and it still didn’t matter. Our « vets » remain determined to continue to donate games to our opponents. This game is a microcosm of why we won’t succeed this season.

EDIT: I also have on good authority that the Islanders were out getting drinks in Tribeca last night. Make of this what you will.

  33. JoeGuinness

I try not to let sports ruin my mood but this one is hard to brush off.

  34. BigDaddyVsNipple

The refs were bullshit in this game and the Rags can fuck off and die. But this has been this team all goddamn year. Take dumb penalties, can’t kill penalties, can’t hold third period leads, it the same nonsense over and over and nothing changes. They don’t have 1 empty net goal this season that is virtually impossible.

As a person who roots for teams that put me on the verge of madness on a regular basis, this team and this season are right up there with the most fucked up amongst them.

  35. cycologize

That was the worst one in a loooooong time. It really is over for these guys. Feel bad for the 6 or so stars.

That OT goal by Beauvillier in game 6 was the islanders peak. The window was open then but we missed it 100%

  36. jhutchi2

I got home a bit late and missed the first 10 minutes of the game. As soon as my mom recapped the scoring I said « The Islanders are going to blow it and lose in overtime. »

  37. USAJourneyman

    The traffic

Why did I decide to do this
