  1. I was hoping the Pens were going to sign him for the rest of the season! Who knows, maybe it would have gave them a boost! They sure need it.

  2. yaromir, what a great guy and a hockey hero, hall of famer and inspiration, great to see how he handled this

  3. Pens realized if they had to wait to retire his number before he retires it would be another 250 years of waiting.

  4. I don't always watch jersey retirement ceremonies in full for teams not mine but how could you not feel compelled to with an all-timer like Jagr

  5. So happy to be from Pittsburgh! I remember the first game Jagr stepped on the ice. Every game was a display of incredible hockey talent. Great memories. Congratulations Jaromir

  6. Tonight, everyone in the hockey world are Penguins fans. Jagr is a living legend. Wish he would have suited up and played. Age is just a number when you have the genetics, natural skills and work ethic or jaromir. I have no doubts he could still put up points on the 4th line there.

  7. I am just a hockey fan from Vancouver. Much respect to the Penguins.
Lemieux, Jagr.. are probably two of the most lovable hockey players out there.
Watching this moment and seeing his young face in some of the background photos, it gives me chills.
How time flies by. I am glad for him, he live and accomplish, fulfill his dreams.

Best of luck to the many other young stars. Your time is now.
