What made you root for them when your dad was a rangers fan? Like I was similar as a kid and liked the jerseys of the redskins and penguins but once I started going to games in NY around age 10-12 I hated being the away fan not being able to enjoy the home crowd and soon corrected my mistake flipping to Rangers and Giants. Keep in mind this is before the Pens got Crosby and before the Giants won against the Bradys. There’s ZERO shame in coming home.

This is the opposite of me and my dad. He went to high school close to Nassau coliseum from 80-84 so was a huge fan and followed the cups runs closely. I liked Lundqvist a lot so defied him and chose the Rangers lol
