Kakko looks like he’s all the way back from his knee injury. And while Vesey has been good this year, 1RW should be Kakko’s job.

Putting him back on the top line is how you find him more minutes, Lavy.

That dude with a hate boner for Kakko is gonna be real upset when he sees this

    Why isn’t Kakko killing penalties
why isn’t Kakko on line 1

why doesn’t kakko (or laff) get any serious PP time

questions we would not have to ask if this Org was fucking normal

Tbh I thought lavvy did a brilliant job getting him out there in 4 on 4 to use space. Yesterday was a weird game with lots of special teams, it’s nice to see the coach say that though.

Keep the 3rd line together and let them eat into the top line’s minutes a little bit. They’ve probably been our best line at even strength since Kakko returned.

Honestly keep that line together and use them as the second line. The bromance is mostly just power play utility at this point anyway. Let them be a third shutdown line or use those two as 2A and 2B. Kakko should be getting at minimum 15 minutes a night

Night and day between Lavy and GG. Lavy isn’t perfect but all the moves he makes seems to be backed by analytics. His confidence in the younger guys too has been great all year.

I understand the temptation to put him back on the first but I think they should just give the 3rd line more shifts. Cuylle and Brodz play a no bs shoot first ask questions later type of offense which means kakko can be the playmaker which he seems more suited for.

Also I appreciate Lav admitting that, it’s real nice to have a coach that holds himself accountable.

Rempe looked fine but after the 1st he was pretty much stapled to the bench lol That 4th line had some solid shifts keeping the Stars in their zone on the forecheck.
