Score: 6.5 – with a record of 2-1 this week and an absolute catastrophe of a game last night, it’s clear there are still issues. But beating the flyers was a great win. So I’m keeping it the same for now since players are getting off injury. Realistically it’s going to be tough to make the wild card spot, they can only lose probably between 9-12 more games.

Last night was embarrassing 🙃 it was hard to watch but I stayed till the very end!

After watching this team play so well at MetLife while freezing my ass off I was convinced they were going to string some wins together and maybe even get into the 3rd metro spot by the end of the season. Unfortunately a different team showed up last night and what should have been a routine win against a middling team ended up being one nail in the coffin as the rest of the division took a step forward. We don’t have many nails left and they certainly can’t be wasted by not showing up to another game against what should be an easy team for us to beat.

    I’m at an 8.5

Maybe an overreaction, but their mid and inconsistent play tells me they aren’t a playoff team year. I’ve already accepted that. Fitz is being idle, coaching is nonexistent, PP is a disaster now. Players not being used properly…. it’s a shitshow from owners down to the players

There are definitely issues to be addressed – a team this stacked shouldn’t be struggling so bad. I’m still optimistic, though. I’ve been a Devils fan for so long that in the grand scheme of things they are still so much better than what I’m used to. The boys will pull it together eventually, even if I have to wait until next season. C’est la vie.
