Trade Crosby and Letang (or Karlsson) to the Avalanche for a Cale Makar package. Sid can play with MacKinnon and try to win the Cup. Letang or Karlsson can replace Makar. Build the new Pens around Makar.
The first time you say something I don't like…end of the day fighting in hockey has been legal for a reason and it allows a good aspect of the game, I would love the enforcer role to return because it was a strategic and economic role, playing women's hockey cannot be the goal
As a pens fan ive legit run out of ideas for improving the team. Not sure that fixing any one issue will be enough. It seems to me its a larger systemic issue holding us back. Not sure how to fix it.

We been hearing Jake to edm for a month already… I have a feeling Jake might go to ANA straight up for Trevor. Just a nice old hockey trade.
My other destinations for Jake is easily Buffalo. He can easily take Skinner spot and Buffalo has alot of young pieces to help Pit with their rebuild which clearly needs to happen, not a retool, a rebuild.

… Buffalo has what it takes to land a big piece… if karlson is interested I'm pretty sure he would love playong with Dahlin or Smauelaon next season… and looking at how the league values Karlson… could maybe just throw in Skinner in their and you got a done deal.

Sid isnt going anywhere. The Pens want a younger player that is NHL ready to join the team. They are still trying to make the playoffs.
The NFL had a case of bounty hunting involving the Saints about a decade ago. It seemed the Defensive Coordinator set up bounties for the defensive linemen based on targets of hits on opposing quarterbacks, and once the NFL commissioner caught wind of what was happening, suspensions were handed out to both the players involved and the head coach, with the DC likely banned from any employment in the league.

Not including core guys in Pens trade talks isn’t really a recipe for rebuilding things..It took awhile for Hawks to do this but eventually Toews and Kane they moved on from. And netted prodigy Bedard.
Pens would do best to go all in on their future with shedding guys. Piecemealing things is the dreaded middlin status. It’s been an awesome Era.

As pens gm i would start rebuild. Current core cant really compete and they get weaker every year. Start by trading Guentzel and maybe Karlsson in summer. Crosby can do what he wants i would trade him where he wants if he wants to move
