I think one possible answer to containing opposing stars….. need to see Cates come back up to speed. Last year he regularly played that shutdown role and played it WELL with Couturier gone … but he hasn't looked like that (maybe related to injury) and is losing puck battles that he never loses. I can count on one hand last year the amount of times he lost a 1v1 puck battle on the wall, it almost never happened. I can count about that many just in the last couple of games, though.
Gotta love social media on the other hand.. everyone accumulates <2 data points and thinks they are a GM. 🤣
