I feel like our issue has always been coaching youth. We don’t seem to do good at developing. Like, our guys develop in spite of the coaching staff

Chinakhov the steal of the ‘20 first round, brindley the steal of the ‘23 second round, voronkov fourth rounder, marchenko second rounder, jiricek and mateychuk in a single round, kent johnson and Cole Sillinger in a single round (Ceulemans in that round too, jury still out), gavrikov in the 6th round and nuttivaara in the 7th in same year, bjorkstrand in the third, josh Anderson in the fourth
We’ve drafted fine. Every GM has some high profile misses and jarmo is no exception.
This isn’t some gotcha, you’re just beating a boring dead horse.
We’re really good at drafting nhl players honestly. Just haven’t drafted high end guys. Or maybe we have and just don’t know how to develop them…
