  1. This is just one of those games where the Oilers do a lot of things right, but just didn't go their way. Unfortunately, this game is reminiscent of many games they played at the beginning of the year and through a Florida road stretch. Overpowering and outplaying the opposition and not getting the bounces.

  2. The win streak is now ancient history… THAT Oilers team would win the Cup but THIS Oilers team will not go deep in the play offs and may well miss out completely on the post season, it’s not as bad as the opening games of the season but it’s heading that way.

  3. Since adding Corey Perry to the lineup, Oilers are 5 W, 5 L. Prior to signing him they were on a long winning streak. Perry may be only -1 overall in his games but his presence has limited ice time for younger, more dynamic players who would be more of a team asset.

  4. Matt Boldy and the Minnesota Wild win over Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 🏒🟢🔴🟡

Minnesota Wild went up to 27-24-6, while the Edmonton Oilers dropped to 33-19-2)

  5. Did anyone else think boldy tipped the 2nd goal?
Should have been a hatty for him.

  6. I know 40 shots and allowed only 19 , in Edmonton and they lose , However prime scoring changes that they give away ,Hum …..Yep different story , Really need a capable backup goaltender ,down the stretch , more 5 on 5 pressure and goals , We all know that they can score on the Powerplay , common really , McD and Leon and Bouchard (having a career year) along with Hyman (34-35 goals) and Hopkins , BUT , they don't call anything in the playoffs unless you mug someone ..opinions everyone has one just LIKE ….🥵.

  7. When a talented team constantly out shoots the opposition (in this case 2-1), and still manages to find the losing end of the proverbial hockey stick.
It simple means that the other goalie made more stops.
I'd be shopping for a gate keeper.

  8. I cant believe how many times the Oilers get scored on with the net empty. It seems every time the opposition just blindly shots the puck out of the zone, it goes in.

  9. This is the Oilers. Terrible defensive play, some unlucky bounces and powerplay goals to stay in the game. Not a good recipe for the playoffs.

  10. Now run that game back with another $15million on the wild once these dead cap penalties end — great future ahead for the Wild 🎉

  11. "The hockey writers" are saying Oilers should bring back Campbell,,, that way when HE sheits the bed they can fire Holland

  12. The Oil has similar problems as the Leafs. They should be trading partners for improving their respective teams.

  13. Losses come and go.

Now's the time practically to prove strengths in specific areas of player-types due to the upcoming Trade Deadline and a fast approach in the direction of the playoffs.

Practically if one thinks about it, All players on All teams, are going up against their positions. So proving intensity mental, role-playing consistencies, communicative chemistry, mental & physical fatigue (ie: Health due to illness b/c of unstable body heat deficiences b/c of external temps resulting in a common cold, etc.), will be ongoing as the anticipation levels of playoff-style hockey, intensifies.

The Wild's prep was probably fierce considering an 8-game winning streak for the oncoming opposition…the Oil.

The prev. game vs. Boston, was a hard-fought game for both teams and exertion of expelled energy, mental fatigue (defensive strategies, offensive output, etc.) was clearly shown.

It's ok tho as mental rest will recharge the 'crest.'

Thursday's temp was 5 C during the day, while Friday's daily temp reached 13 C until the celestial star as we know it, the Sun, dropped and outside temps drastically & rapidly changed to approx. 5 C again (strange weather but expected due to 'cyclonic' changes no hUman can stop).

Regardless, as mentioned, the 'rest' will take care ot itself (pun intended).

    😀
