Mathews is a good player but selfish. He us in 6 place in the scoring race with 51 goals BUT just 24 assists Most great players have more assists than goals such as Conner who is in 3 place in the scoring race with 3 games in hand and has 21 goals BUT 54 assists.

I agree with Kipper. Bertuzzi doesn't fit with the Leafs. The team is on a tear with players on the 3rd and 4th lines scoring. He's up on the 1st line and nothing. Mathews had to feed him a goal to stop the embarrassment.

You could tell that Kyper is having a really hard time finding ways to dump on Matthews today. He went completely silent for about 5 minutes at one point. Change is not easy.
Enough with this BS about the Leafs being 5-0 without Reilly, they have a winning record without Mitch and Auston as well. They are doing what is expected from good teams, your team is suppose to step it up and hold down the fort when good players are out. They beat the Jets in back to back games before the Reilly suspension, this isn't even a talking point. This winning 10 of their last 12 started with Morgan in the lineup and Reilly played in 5 of those victories with 4 of them against the better teams during this streak, 2 against the Jets, 1 against Dallas, and the latest against Vegas. Reilly being in the lineup isn't even open for debate.
The true test of the Leafs season and playoff outcome comes in March and April. I pray that Triliving can add two things; one good Dman (if what they have can keep up their recent good work and tighten up a bit) and two muscle guys with mediocre talent to keep Florida in check. Hope when Woll comes back he can play as well as he did in his last game.

Overall team D is the key, the goals will come but you've got to disrupt the opposition in the neutral zone, limit oddman rushes, tight back checking, it's not the most exciting hockey but it's sound defense that wins playoff games.
I agree, I just don't have faith in bertuzzi when it comes to scoring, that's why he's a rental kinda player.
