He also just loves to try to stickhandle through crowds of defenders like he’s Connor McDavid. He walked the puck down into a crowd of defenders in the circle yesterday and then fell over and gave up the possession. In what fucking world does be think that’s a good idea? You’ve now abandoned the blue line to give up possession and guarantee that you’re well behind the play, leaving your defensive partner on an island with forwards scrambling to cover for you.

I try defending Jones when I can. I do think part of the hate is everyone just piling on…. That said…. Holy shit is it getting more and more difficult to be on his side. He is constantly in the middle of bone-headed plays.
At first I wondered if Jones was thinking the goalie would be expecting the Bedard pass during this play, but even then, he shot at the wrong corner to make that play work.

I literally thought he was going to no-look that to Bedard for the one timer. Idk if anyone saw on Kane’s GWG that Bedard skated off the ice and was visibly frustrated.
Seth needs to accept that he’s a fine defenseman. He’s not a stud by any means but can be a stud defensively – once he accepts that he’s not Cale Makar.

After a few years not watching I’ve got back into regular viewings again. I’d lurked in here and seen folk criticising the guy but I refused to accept he was that bad when his contract was so huge. All that said, the guys gotta be pushing triple figures for the amount of times I’ve been sat there shaking my head and I only started watching again in October. What a horrible albatross.

I’ve been seeing Seth Jones activate a lot lately. Last game or 2 games ago he was below the goal line on the PP. Multiple times. I get he’s the best the Hawks have but cmon. He’s not that player. He’s never been that player. And with a player like Bedard on your team? Give the goal scorer the puck. Pls.

I used to watch every Hawks game when Kane was here. This season I’ve missed the games Bedard was not playing. I didn’t get the Jones hate though I did realize he seems like an awkward skater and player. I have noticed though lately he totally ignores Bedard. Like he has his back to him all the time. Is he doing it on purpose or because they’re both right handed he seems to stick to his right side of the ice instead of where Bedard usually is to his left? In any case inexcusable especially in this play.
Should have been 98 screaming “my time” instead of 88 screaming “showtime” but happy for Kane anyway. Favorite player ever.

I’d like to see tje syays for how mant shots he’s taken this year. It feels like he’s gone silly with it, just taking a large volume of shots and many of them not even good chances.
I get he’s feeling the need to try and prove himself but it’s becoming detrimental to the team. Then again, is it really detrimental if looked at from a tank perspective. Part of me suspects he’s deliberately fucking things up, or has been tld to fuck things up The alternative to this theory is that he really is that shit
