I’m probably in the minority, but I would trade Petey. He isn’t invested in this city, sell high. This team will regress next season, and I don’t like EP40s attitude when times get tough.

Deadline deals rarely work, just sayin. A depth Dman maybe.
Sign Lindholm and trade Petty on draft day. A bit of a step down but saving money and adding younger cheaper talent in a Petty deal. We have serious cap issues, ie OEL that cannot be ignored.
How about focussing on the playoffs and stop with the negative talk about Petey. Until he says he doesn't want to sign, take him at his word and leave it to the offseason.
At this point the Canucks should trade Paterson instead of Pettersson.
