@Wild du Minnesota

2. Ray Emery. Wasn’t afraid to fight, was underrated and helped the Hawks win their second cup in the shortened 2013 season against Boston. People forget the hawks went on that crazy 20+ game point streak and Emery was a big part of that. RIP Ray, you’ll always be a legend.

    Oh and Scott Darling. As a recovering addict he is one of my heroes. He got sober and showed the world anyone can make the most of a second chance.

  3. As long as he can still play well, gotta keep him. As an Oilers fan I would take him for the rest of the year. Win another cup and retire….

  4. To see one of our childhood heroes winding down on his career is heartbreaking, but in terms of Minnesota making the playoffs, I don't see it happening. Granted I can see him coming back for one more year at league min or a low 1-2.5 Million AAV for a team. Definitely going to be hard to see him retire though, most likely with Crosby, Malkin, Letang and several other players we watched all these year following.

  5. Don't forget that Bill Guerin was the first the Pen to to lift the Cup in 2009. Crosby took it and handed it right to him. So he and MAF go way back. I'm sure they've talked about it and he's very much weighing what Flower wants into the equation.
