He’s still dangling with that puck

He definitely needs to go back and keep developing. His first couple games he looked alright but the last game against LA really looked flawed. Wishing him the best

  3. deeho88

He had a good run. Develop him more Abby!

  4. carry-on_replacement

I thought he played alright but he needed to play like he did in Colorado every night if he wants to be a full time NHLer. He doesn’t have the luxury of an off night when he’s not waiver eligible.

Also I hope people aren’t ripping on the guy for not scoring as he’s trying to get adjusted to the big league. That’s just misplaced expectation

For the best, and I hope he sorts out his game a bit. Hopefully not the last we see of him, but that was whelming… at best.

twas a good run, he’ll be here next season for sure 🫡

Now we need an extra forward for the road trip. Is Joshua coming back already? Are they calling up someone like Karlsson again, give Podz a chance or trading for someone? 🤔

Sucks for Bains that he got called up during the absolute worst part of this season, wish he got to experience a big win where everyone was playing better

Edit: Joshua is not ready to return says Dhali

  8. Send_me_beer1

hopefully that means joshua is coming back soon

  9. His first few games were good. He’ll get his shot next season.

A good look for Bains, he’ll get another shot in ’24-’25. We should add a depth guy at the deadline, our call up options are underwhelming right now.

He was clearly a step behind the NHL game right now. Hopefully he can bridge the gap over the summer. It’s not easy.

Anyone have the vid of him fumbling the puck?

  13. TruYu96

He has potential to be a middle 6 player. Just need more time in the AHL. All good

  14. julesieee

He played some NHL games so he can bring that experience back to Abby and elevate his Abby Canuck game. 👋

    Bring on Phil the Thrill!

  15. g0kartmozart

Yeah it was time, all he did the last few games was take unnecessary penalties.

He has potential though. Hopefully he gets there.

I think he put forward an honest effort, but after it became clear that his game needs some more development.

  17. shadownet97

I thought he played fine during his time but it’s definitely obvious he needs to develop more down in Abby.

He now has a good amount of experience and learning curves that he can use to improve his game even more.

  18. He hasn’t been good at all… Too timid. Needs to develop more imo

  19. Stainertrainer

The bains train has left the station

  20. rockoruckus

His play didn’t match the narrative, but everybody working hard to elevate their game deserves a look

  21. Captain_JT_Miller

Bains has potential to be something. Good for him to get a dose of the NHL. Impressive considering he was basically a walk on.

I hope this means Dak is back though.

  22. vanGn0me

Pretty much means Joshua is ready to join the main roster again, and couldn’t have come sooner

  23. electricalphil

Confirmed, Allvin listens to Reddit users.

  24. Spookedchicken

I’m not writing him off by any means as there are some great staples to Bains’ game but the Canucks’ depth as of right now leaves a lot to be desired.

We’ve had a combined total of 13games split between 4 different AHLers this season and there’s zero points to show for it. Looking forward to the playoffs when injuries are expected the organizational depth could be the difference in losing a winnable series.
