That ending had me fucking SHAKING lmao
Pros: Gruuuuuuuuu still looking good, we don’t have to play the Oilers again, the boys hung in there and fought sooooo hard to come back. No effort issues today!
Cons: 0 pts 🙁
I never really go into games against the Oilers _expecting_ to win, but it woulda been nice. I had hope the whole time!
Time to switch hats to Go Sounders mode!
Gru played well enough just couldn’t find a goal
Damn.
Can’t ask for a better opportunity to at least get one point out of that game. I wish I could say I’m surprised they came up short.
Great effort on that 6 on 4. What a shame that they couldn’t score.
Not the outcome we wanted and while I still think the next game is the true test, that was a big loss to take for post season hopes.
That said.
#IT LOOKS LIKE .900+ IS STILL ON THE MENU BOYS AND GIRLS!!!
**AND WITH THAT GRU WILL NOW HAVE A SEASON SAVE% OF .900+ MEANING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN KRAKEN HISTORY BOTH GOALIES WILL HAVE .900+ IN POST-ALL-STAR-BREAK SEASON!!** (I’m pretty sure)
Was a great game, just got goalied. It’s going to happen. I just wish we had some better performances earlier in the season so these games getting goalied wouldn’t be as impactful.
I don’t feel too bad about this one – assumed we would lose to the Oilers, but we played pretty well all the way through.
Poor Gru. He deserved better offensive support than that.
Hopefully our Firebirds will have a happier result with their game against the Barracuda tonight.
logically i know trading an expiring contract for assets makes sense but man i dont wanna lose any of these guys
they played a damn good game today
Incredible ending to a great game. Grubauer played very well but the skaters couldn’t get him the goal support.
Big picture – Seattle is now 7 points behind Nashville with 22 games remaining and only 1 game in hand for the final playoff spots. Also 7 points behind LA but LA has a game in hand.
Playoff hopes fading fast. Seattle had a very favorable strength of schedule in the 2nd half but has not taken advantage of it. That game against San Jose right before the All Star break is a perfect example of the missed opportunities for this roster.
That was a great game, I guess the Calgary game will decide if they sell by Friday.
I’m starting to think that not scoring any goals ever is a bad approach to winning games
Our match ups against Edmonton nowadays remind me of the Seahawks/Broncos rivalry of the mid-late 90s. Hawks had some good players but were up against superstars and rarely could take them down.
Now those OT losses are gonna bite us in the ass.
Oiler Fan come in peace.. Great game by Kraken.. Both goalies were great ..Skinner might of stolen the game..
Best of luck the rest of the year.. See the Kraken and Oil in the playoffs..
As a fan who is admittedly more on the casual side, I have to admit that this team, after capturing my heart last year in the playoffs, has almost completely lost my interest this year unfortunately. Seems like we can just never get the clutch goal when we need it
I’m starting to come to grips that this season is probably lost and selling is the correct move. It hurts though.
Good game, but sucks to have 0 points in the end. Best moment at CPA was hearing the organ player play Tolvy song 🙂 Who else did spot it?
Surprised to see all the comments calling that a great game. Thought the Kraken were largely awful. Couldn’t generate anything on offense for the most part. Tons of moments where they would try a play and have an Oiler right in the way to intercept. Or have two ,sometimes three, defenders on our man with the puck and not be able to generate any open looks from that disparity.
Both goalies played great and it could have gone either way. Oilers were on their heels especially in the first, stu really had to bail them out. Hard fought game (especially for a matinee) and I’m cheering for you guys to make the playoffs. Hope you obliterate Calgary on Monday, gg
That was a rough one, friends. I had to go walk around in the cold for a bit. The guys fought hard but I’m feeling the sting of all the times they didn’t.
Rough one. I hate this time of year and the uncertainty of what’s coming before the trade deadline.
Gru looked good tonight. Some good plays by Gourde and Beniers (among a few others). Glad to see Tolvanen back scoring.
But, we look off again. Passes were very rough tonight. It just seems like we can’t consistently keep the chemistry going.
