Jets played an inspired 3rd frame
I have been a Jets fan since '72 (minus '96-2011) that is the greatest comeback against an elite team in all my days. I am not tking anything away from the 'Canes. They are a Stanley Cup Contender.

This was only, I believe, only the fifth or sixth multi-goal comeback by the Jets in the last 2 seasons and only their third win when trailing after 2 periods this season. This was definitely a big win and should be a character builder going forward. On the road, in a hostile environment, and down 3-0 against a Hurricanes team that does not give up leads, and the Jets fought back to get the win. Been waiting for this type of win from the Jets.
And Ehlers needs to be made a permanent fixture on the top line and Connor should be moved down.

That was not a Jets comeback. That was a Canes give away/self destruction. Trust me. I was there 3rd period was awful. It was like watching two different games. More evidence that the Canes won't make the Finals again sad to say, nor do I expect any majors moves at the trade deadline despite all the contracts they have ending this season.
As a Jets fan it’s nice to say we won the game…and we deserved to win. Ehlers and Scheifele were outstanding but it was a very good effort all around. Team looked more like the dominant group they were in November and December. Funny how they play better when key guys (Vilardi) are out of the lineup.
Embarrassing loss for the canes there
Shannon seemed as shocked this whole recap, even more so than the Canes fans… and Jets fans. The Jets have troubles scoring goals as was apparent in the first 2 periods. The Jets have REALLY struggled to score goals for a while. And then… 5 in 1 period?? WT %&$*#*$. 5 goals in 1 period? I don't honestly ever remember the Jets getting "5" goals in 1 period. That was so much fun. 🙂
