Keefe should’ve sent Reaves out right away after Rempe when he cheapshotted Lyubushkin in the 2nd and no penalty was called. Sure Reaves would’ve got instigator, but to him that’s nothing. Also it would’ve had more meaning and people would stop worrying about Rempes CTE and see he isn’t always the innocent underdog gentlegiant. Instead, we get another staged fight that means nothing. While staged fights are entertaining, fighting was and still is meant for stopping goons from taking advantage of weaker players, especially when no penalty was issued.

The Rangers coaches/management need to reign the kid in a little bit. He's running around hurting people, of course he has to answer the bell. The hit on Lyubushkin was clearly a charge. And for all the people that say I don't know the rules, look it up yourself.

He's obviously a force now but he's only 21, he is going to get stronger and he is going to improve his technique, watch out in a couple of years.
This fight lacked genuine enthusiasm, Reeves seemed obligated to fight, but as fights go this was a non event

Win or Lose – the NHL hasn't had this much attention on fighting in a LONG time and I LOVE what Rempe is doing

Was Rempe asking his bench for permission? I don't think so, seems from the linesman's body language Rempe was getting clearance for the fight from the linesman–or at least letting him know it was about to go down..
I would not want to go out there night after night and fight like that.
I am beyond impressed with Rempe. He's not from this generation. He is tough as nails and sets the bar high. Outstanding job.

Rempe got off to a good start but Reeves threw some heavy bombs near the end. Close decision but Reeves gets the nod. Rempe was much smarter this time. He needs to stop leading with his face or else he's going to have a short career.

Kid held his own pretty good, I think Reaves held back because he was wearing a visor though. That thing cushions punches like crazy while cutting up the other guys’ hands.

Rempe is so tall his equipment doesn’t even fit quite right… i still like seeing the fights these days and good seeing the respect between the tuff guys
