Yes the Wings offense has improved this year but so has the defense. Seider is having his best season as a professional. Both Seider and Walman have been overplayed and at times it shows. Petry and Chiarot are quietly having a very good years (both are positive +- rating). Maatha is having an excellent season. The defense is ranked 4th in the league in points. Gotisbehere has faltered lately and Holl makes bone head plays but they are the 5th and 6th defensemen when playing 5 on 5. Strongly doubt Yzerman is bringing up any defensemen from GR. Hope some of the prospects make the team next year.
With the Big Ras signing heres my off season/extension wish list: kane 2×5, raymond 8×7.5, seider 8×8.5, sprong 2×3 and veleno 2×2, let peron go for bergren to take his spot, fischer for mazur and ghost for endvisson, then let fabri play out his contract for danielson coming in and kostin to do the same for kasper to come in. Potential buyouts for hull, petry, copp i could see copp getting one more year before a buy out, it all depends on who makes it to free agency

I think 9 days off after the allstar break hurt them get their legs as I saw other teams playing way earlier.
For the outdoor game, i would like to see the jersey just Michigan themed. Not the colleges. Have the winged wheel in place of the U.P. and some creative hockey theme for the lower peninsula. All in the traditional red and white.
One thing I like about this wings team, is they almost like getting punched in the mouth. They have shown tremendous resilience this season, that should pay dividends come April.

no all star game and/or draft in Detroit is a punishment for the Ilitch’s failure to deliver on the District Detroit project.
I am looking forward to the outdoor game against the CBJ. I don't agree that the main draw for fans will be because it's OH vs. MI teams, though I won't be surprised if it's marketed that way to some degree to sell tickets. That rivalry doesn't really extend beyond college football and there are a lot of Wings fans in Ohio. I think whoever said that it might look like a Detroit home game is right.
