  1. I wonder if there's room for Carolina to be the third team instead of Boston. Gunler, Suzuki, Nikishin, Ponomarov as prospects and Necas, Turbo, or even KK as roster pieces I think the canes would move if they could get (back) a guy like Lindholm. Aho, Lindholm, J Staal, Drury down the middle for the Canes then and Vancouver ends up with Guenztel. Canes would even eat some of the Guentzel contract.

Edit: I don't mean ALL of those pieces but a selection of them that could go to Pittsburgh for Canes to get Lindy from Vancouver.

  2. I don’t see Boston giving up there high end young guys. And if they were why wouldn’t they just get guentzel why help Vancouver

  3. That Pospisil hit doesn’t warrant a suspension. The d-man saw him coming in and turned his back. That’s on the d-man to protect himself. The 5 min major was enough

  4. Pens should trade Reilly Smith to AZ for Jason Zucker. Zucker's contract is expiring.
Trade Graves back to the Devils?

  5. There is a theory that Canucks got Lindholm as insurance in case Petterssen refused to sign an extension, and they'd have to trade him. Turns out Tocchet is not happy with Lindholm's work ethic level. That, along with Lindholm's ridiculous contract demand makes him trade bait. Would not surprise me if Lindholm wound up in Boston, Pittsburgh, or Carolina. Good player, but not worth the 8.5M-9M he's reportedly seeking. If true, his price has to come down.

  6. How does BOSTON have prospects that would entice the penguins? Their cupboard is as bare as the Penguins'.

  7. I think that it was one of the bad moves Tom Fitzgerald had made, Yegor Sharengovich for Tyler Tiffoli, especially if The New Jersey Devils aren't going to Re-Sign him. This is one of the reasons that I say that, I'm not saying that Lindy Ruff is the best coach ever, but his firing is A Scapegoat, because of all of these questionable moves by The Devils. Let me know what you think

  8. I would laugh if Vancouver trades lindholm, gets guentzel, guentzel gets injured again and Vancouver gets bounced in first round and Boston gets lindholm and wins the cup

  9. This league is a joke. They want players to stop the dirty hits, but the players want it to happen as long as it doesn’t happen to them, and then nobody says anything to their teammates when they make the hit. I’m not saying yelling at the guy after the hit but the captain needs to fucking act when this happens. Not just stand there or say that Reilly was justified in his actions

  10. No. The way it would work would be Van would get Guentzel and would trade Lindholm to Pitt. Pitt would retain 50% and the Bruins would trade Pitt Jake Debrusk, and some combination of two of Lysell, Lohrei, Poitras, and Merk, and probably a 3rd for the salary retention. That gives Pitt a winger to make the loss of Guentzel slightly less painful and a couple of prospects. It let's Vancouver solve it's buyer remorse for getting a number 2 center when they already had Pettersson and Miller and needed a winger. It allows Boston to have a better option at center and frees a small amount of cap so they can do callups and they aren't right up against the ceiling. But the only way Boston is willing to give up two of it's best prospects is if there's an extension in place first guaranteed.

  11. Deployment of Lindholm is a head scratcher to me. 3rd line? I think he was better off 1st line as a winger when he first joined the team.

  12. Bruins need to be smart here. Lysell and Beecher ok, maybe a second round pick. But ONLY if Lindholm would go for a longer term contract. Bs GM Don Sweeney shouldn't go crazy.

It's possible that Lindholm and/or Noah Hanifin could be rentals who don't sign new contracts. And Bs could make them competitive offers in the Summer.

I'd be ok with trading Linus Ullmark now IF the return was strong (solid picks/prospects).
Swayman is clearly the #1 guy going forward and you can't tie up too much cap space in two goalies.
