@Rangers de New York

    Right hand on the right side just feeding mika pucks to the slot all damn day

    Got a heck of a release. That’s for certain. Looking forward to what he can do with some talent around him!

  3. I don’t think the pressure is there like with Kane and Tarasenko. Those guys were studs coming in with a lot of experience to carry us to the cup. That is not an easy thing to overcome and both were already heading downhill.

    Instead look at Vatrano, Copp, Motte the previous year. They came in with some expectations but were really role players. We weren’t expecting them to score all the time and carry the team.

    I feel like Wennberg and Roslovic will be treated similarly. Complementary pieces that we really needed to plug some holes and everyone on the team can go back to what they do best.

  4. Also want to say that Goodrow should be the one to sit. Throw Vesey, Brodz, and Rempe out there to work, give us a few goals and some energy. It won’t happen but it should.

    Look where the big names got us last year I love that Drury showed faith in his team and dint
    Want to break up the obvious lockeroom chemistry this team obviously has .

    Worth noting that he’s a career ~12% shooter and this season it’s down to 7% on that brutal Jackets team. He could easily get some sweet sweet regression on a much more skilled team

    Welcome. Now back to work.

    No sideshow like last year.

    If 93 and 20 disappear this playoff, they should be moved or at least split up by next season. It would be sad and I do have hope they can figure it out.

    Drury did alright. Clearly he doesn’t think it’s worth going all in, which I’m glad about. They’re not good enough to do so, even more so after the moves Carolina and Florida made. Probably goijg to win a round.

    Agree with this take.

    A big splash raises the pressure & upsets chemistry which can sometimes work against the team like I think it did last year.

    All eyes are going to be on Florida and Carolina after their moves. All their big names have to come in and mesh with limited games left.

    Meanwhile Roslovic is a solid acquisition that can play anywhere up and down the lineup, bringing speed and a willingness to shoot. There may be some disruption to the bottom 6, but depth scoring has been a problem all season as well as 1RW. This was a low risk, high reward attempt to address that. Love it!

    It would be awesome if Laviolette would use this as an opportunity to roll lines.

  11. Just watched some of his goals from last season. Looks like he’s got speed, moves, and a nice release, as other have said. Really promising!

    This is the best group of forwards minus Goodrow we’ve had since the mid 90s. Waive Goodrow and we’d be golden

    The more you think about it? What’s not to like? They gave up at most a 3rd rounder for a low risk potentially high reward right winger. Great move by Drury.

    * Kreider – Trochek – Roslovic

    * Bread – Mika – Laf

    * Cuylle – Wennberg – Kakko

    * Brodzinski – Rempe – Vesey

    Roslovic loves to take defenders 1 on 1 or even 2 on 1 on the rush and just drive the net. This is what the top line needs a guy who can pass and has good hockey sense but also just say fuck it and do it themselves.

  16. sjostyghosty

    Y’all really need to temper your expectations. Roslovic is fast and a great skater, sure. Which will be good, we needed to get faster.

    But you can’t overlook his lack of two way play, ability to disappear for really long stretches, we are hyping up a player that at times has found it tough to stay in the lineup or up high in the lineup on a team that for the last few years has been among the worst in the league and devoid of centers aside from Boone Jenner where the opportunity has been there for him to step up.

    Are we sure he’s 1Rw and not kakko?

    I’m absolutely thrilled with the trade. We didn’t need a big splash move that would cost us prospects and high picks, this is the perfect move. He seems like a good playdriver 5v5 and that’s exactly what we needed.
